3rd Day in Maui

On Monday, September 2nd, we had club access added to our room, which means we could get free breakfast in the morning, snacks in the afternoon, and Hors d'oeuvres in the evening (basically dinner).  We used points to pay for both hotels in Hawaii, and just used more points to get club access.  We didn't do it in Kauai because they only had a King bed available there vs 2 Queen beds, but in Maui they had the 2 Queen beds available w/ club access, so we decided to try it.  Needless to say, it was totally worth it!  The food was amazing!!!  And it was nice to have the meals prepared for us and have a lot of variety right there at the hotel.  That's definitely one thing we really love about a cruise, is that the food is there for you anytime of day, and so much variety (you don't have to cook or go far to find it).  Steve mentioned he appreciates having the food included even more so now after his surgery, as he can only eat a little at a time, so he needs to eat many small meals throughout the day.

Having breakfast at the "club" in the hotel.  It was delicious!

We had some time before the timeshare presentation we had to attend (the free and reduced tickets we got for the Luau the night before), so we went outside to enjoy the grounds.  One of the workers was feeding the swans, so she let the boys help her.

Cool birds!

Pretty grounds and a black swan.

Pretty flower and beautiful views in front of our hotel at the beach.

We then went swimming.  Steve was soaking his foot again, so I took the boys.
Fun on the water slides and kid play area.

Hudson and Carter going down the slide.

Nyles and Carter then went down the bigger waterslide.  Hudson wasn't tall enough to go.

Carter coming down the slides in style.

Such beautiful views of the ocean and beach in front of the hotel.

More beautiful views.

During the timeshare presentation, Nyles and Carter stayed in our room while Hudson came w/ us.  We stuck to our guns and said no thanks.  Afterwards, we got some lunch then went out to explore areas just north of us.

Cool view and pretty scenery.

We then went to a blowhole, which was cool to see.

Hudson fell asleep as we got there, so Steve stayed in the car w/ him, then went to look at it after we got back.  Carter was also wiggling another tooth while we waited for Steve to get back :)

Such beautiful landscapes.

We then went back to Honolua Bay to go snorkeling.

There is a small place to park along the road, then you walk through the jungle down to the shoreline.  The trees and vegetation along w/ the way were incredible!

Cool tree.  There were lots of rocks, right as you enter the water, so it was a little tricking getting in, but literally as soon as you put your face in the water, there were fish to look at.  It was incredible!  Hudson wanted to see the fish again, so we all snorkeled together.  Steve shared his mouthpiece w/ him again.  We saw SOO many fish; it was amazing!  I'm thankful for the small snorkel vests we brought as well to keep us buoyed up, so we could all enjoy snorkeling, instead of just focusing on our swimming.

Beautiful bay and even more amazing was the sea life in the water below.

Cool trees coming back.

The vines went all the way to the top of the trees!

The boys wanted to swim again in the pool after we got back.  Watching the sunset.

Beautiful sunset as we swam.

We had another amazing day in Maui.  There is so much beauty to soak in.  We tried to make the most of each day, the best we could.  We had one more day in Maui though, and we were looking forward to it!
