Lagoon Day

On Saturday, June 1st, we went up to Farmington to go to Lagoon.  We decided to buy season passes since it would pay for itself in 2 trips.  Diane and Rob bought season passes as well.  Steve and I hadn't been to Lagoon since the first year we were married, and the boys had never gone.  Steve promised the boys we'd go to Lagoon once he lost weight.  So a year after his surgery, and losing weight, we went.  We got there just as it was opening at 10am, and ended up staying there most the day.  Here are some highlights.

Steve being silly (pointing out where a bathroom is).  Here we go!

Stacie/Phill joined us shortly after we got there.

Having fun!

Waiting in line for the new ride Primordial.  You wear 3D glasses and try to shoot the bad guys as you go.  It's pretty fun, and thankfully Hudson is tall enough to ride it ;)

More fun on the airplanes.

I got a little dizzy after a few rides, so I took Hudson to the kiddie rides while the others went to the bigger rides.

Rob took Hudson while we went on Cannibal.  Hudson on some kiddie rides, which he loves!

More fun w/ Hudson.

Lots of fun!

Melanie's family also met up w/ us that afternoon.
Watching people drop!  Hudson eating his PB sandwich.

Going on Primordial one more time before going home.  Hudson was exhausted by the end of the day, so he fell asleep on the way home.  Though it was long and hot day, we had a great day together!

Last week of May

We had a busy last week of May finishing up school.  Here are some highlights.

Conor stayed the night with us over Memorial Day.  I had them pick up pinecones so I could mow the lawn.  They then got out the water hose.  Playing Army.

Beautiful Irises in bloom around the yard.  I love the colors!

The pears and peaches are growing.

Steve teaching Nyles to mow Dave/Joann's lawn.

We had dinner that night at Dave/Joann's place.  Silly Hudson.

Dance party!

Playing in the yard.  Having ice cream for dessert.

Oh Hudson!

Pretty Peony in bloom.  More Irises in bloom and some Strawberry plants.

Our Honey Locust trees are growing so tall!  Cute Strawberry.  I love the trees!

Cute Hudson playing in the water table.  3 trees up on the retaining wall.

Hudson and Steve joined Nyles' class for some highlights of the year.

Nyles and his teacher, Mrs. Vinuesa on the last full day of school.

Carter joined some neighborhood boys in a gaming truck for a kid's birthday.  The boys also helped move flamingoes to the yards of the kids graduating high school this year (a tradition our neighborhood started during Covid, in 2020).  Another pretty Peony.

Steve, Nyles and Rob went fishing at Utah Lake.

Some serious rain clouds, and a rainbow.  They got rained on!

I took Carter and Hudson the Draper Park to play while they were gone.

Nyles and Carter at school, almost the last day.  Hudson passed out on the couch.

Nyles' class door (Rock stars).  Nyles and class up at Camp Tracy earlier in the year.

Nyles at Camp Tracy.

Celebrating the 5th graders who are leaving the Elementary School.
Carter w/ his teachers, Samantha Bilbow and Mueller Andres Laureano Lizana.

First and last day of school pictures.
Nyles, now with braces, and taller.

Carter, lost his other tooth, and they are both finally growing back in.

Cute Hudson is growing!

Cute boys on their last day of school, May 30, 2024.

Hudson with his teacher, LaKesha Johnson.  Pillow pile on Nyles!
Nyles, Cal, Lincoln and John being silly.

Super pretty Irises at the Draper Temple.
I went and did initiatories and Steve and Nyles went and did baptisms the next day.

Memorial Day Weekend

On Friday, May 24th, after working in the office, I came home and we left to go up to East Canyon to go camping until Sunday.

Hudson asleep earlier that day.  Beautiful ride up the canyon.
We made it that night, set up camp, and got ready for bed.

The next morning it was raining so we took a drive.  We went over to the Mormon Pioneer Trail.  It was a really pretty area.  I'm sure the pioneers were happy to finally see the SLC valley.

Enjoying the drive.  Sandhill Cranes.

More fun on the drive, then back at camp.  The Sequoia got just a little muddy :)

The water from the rain came down off the camper and filled up Piper's water dish.
There were sheep grazing up on the hillside.

We played some games in the camper while it continued to rain after we got back.  Jeff/Kim's family came up a little later, then Stacie/Phill came up as well.  Since it was still raining, we decided to go over to the little town of Morgan for some hot chocolate.  Carter and Hudson asleep on the way.

Beautiful scenery.  Hudson stayed asleep for a quite a while.

Thankfully after we got back the rain pretty much stopped.  The kids wanted to try fishing.
We then got our spaghetti dinner ready.

Hudson loves to play w/ his cousins (hanging out w/ Cameron).
Yummy spaghetti Phill and Jeff.  Warming up by the fire.

Hudson checking out Cameron's bed in the back of the Jeep.  Kim enjoying a S'more.
Hudson just took off w/ the chocolate; silly kid :)

Our cute little camper.  It looks so small compared to most.  Warming up by the fire. Playing games.

Beautiful sunset.  Silly tongues (Alexa, Claire and Carter).
Making a sad face is genetic: Alexa, Claire, Phill, Steve, Jeff and Stacie.

Pretty sunset.  The kids playing.  Hudson's pooping face.

Breakfast the next morning.  Beautiful view!

We packed up after breakfast and headed home.  There was still snow in parts.  So pretty!
It was a little cool this first camping trip, but we were thankful for our little camper to keep us warm and dry (it definitely makes camping easier and more enjoyable).  We didn't have hookups at this campground, so we were glad we had the inverter and solar panels working.  Overall it was still a fun camping trip!

We then unpacked, then went over and had dinner w/ Dave/Joann that night.  We then went to visit a cemetery by their house and put pinwheels by the graves.

Silly Hudson w/ a helmet on while watching a show. Putting pinwheels on the graves.  Steve and Dave helping push Joann on the grass.  Carter by Joann's brother's grave (Alan Carter Jensen).  Carter's middle name is Alan, named after him.
