Tuesday, August 27th was our first full day in Kauai. Since we all went to bed "early" according to Hawaii time the night before, we were up pretty early. We decided to go look around the hotel grounds and get ourselves oriented to the property.

So many beautiful flowers on the bushes and trees. I loved it! The boys had fun finding me flowers that had already fallen off, and insisted I put them in my hair.

We then left to go up to Waimea Canyon on the West side of the island.
Hudson and Carter fell asleep. Beautiful views on the way!
We stopped to see a river on the side of the road, then enjoyed beautiful views of the canyon.

There were chicken even up at the top of the canyon.
We then came down and stopped at a blowhole.
Then went to Poipu Beach to play on the beach and snorkel.
There were turtles on the beach. It was so cool!

We had an awesome 1st full day in Kauai. It was great to see the canyon, blowhole and beach again. It brought back the memories of when Steve and I were there 12 years ago. We couldn't wait for our next day in Kauai!
