3rd Week of April

I took Monday the 19th off of work since we weren't sure how we were going to be feeling after getting our Covid shots the Saturday before.  I felt pretty good on Monday, but Steve was tired again.  He was able to rest a little and I did some laundry and cleaned up a bit.

Nyles hanging out in the hammock w/ baby Hudson.

Hudson turned 8 months old on the 20th.  He's growing so much.  Still no teeth, which is fine by me. He's sitting up better and getting better with his dexterity. He likes feeding himself more than getting fed. He's such a happy baby. We love him so much!

Tuesday Steve had Young Men's.  They decided to go on a bike ride at the Jordan River.  The boys of course wanted to go w/ Steve.

Cute Hudson playing on the floor while Piper enjoys the sunshine in our room.

Hudson in the stroller and Carter in the swing, playing while Nyles does his track class.

Nyles w/ his running group, and Carter riding his bike while waiting.

Cute Carter wanted to wear the pirate bandana.  Our peach tree is starting to bloom!

Cute Nyles and Hudson, both 7 months old at Grandma Hegerhorst's house.

Hudson likes peanut butter.  Gotta love his his fluffy hair.  He's our little duck fuzz!

We got more mulch for the yard.  The boys were big helpers loading the wheelbarrow and buckets and spreading the mulch.  Steve did most of the work, but I helped get the front yard done after finishing work and getting baby Hudson to bed.  When we are all work together we get the job done faster!  As my mom say, "many hands makes light work."

The flowers are look great also!

The pear tree is starting to bloom as well.  Steve and the boys also picked up a couple watermelon plants and 3 pumpkin plants.  They're excited to plant them soon.

Hudson playing w/ Steve's foot.

Nyles had a track meet in Friday at Alta High School.  He was pretty excited!  He did the javelin throw, the shot put, and the 400 meter race.  There were so many kids competing from all the different schools (probably 200-300 kids).  It's great that so many kids wanted to compete.  The unfortunate part is it took forever!  We got there at 3:20pm to get organized for team pictures and to get their numbers.  They started at 4pm and didn't finish until after 8pm.  I took Carter and Hudson home for a while, made some soup for dinner, then we came back to watch his 400 meter run.  He did great!

Nyles ready to go!

More running of the 400 meter.

Cute baby Hudson eating his PJs and just being his cute silly self.

Steve took the boys out on the boat again.  He met Phill and Conor down in Provo since he was in the area already.  Steve asked him to take some photos and videos of the tail kit to send to the company Mud Skipper (the one who sent him the tail kit and grab bar).

The boys enjoying their ride on the boat.

Cute boys ready to go for a ride on the boat.

They we having a good time until they hit something at the bottom of the lake and poked a couple holes in the boat.  Steve has gone to those spots before and never seen anything, so it was really peculiar.  Needless to say they hurried back to shore as quick as they could.  Thankfully Steve was able to get them back safely to the shore before taking on too much water.

Phill told Steve to smile as he was driving them back to the shore.

Here are the holes in that boat.  Steve thinks it was from a fence post buried in the water.

While they were gone Hudson and I hung out and cleaned. I love the flowers!

The lawn is coming back alive.

Silly Piper playing w/ her bed.

Great quote.

2nd Week of April

The 2nd week of April went by pretty quickly.  Here are some highlights.

Cute Carter giving Piper some loves.  Piper being so lady like, soaking in the sun.

Carter showing Steve his yellow tongue from his sucker from preschool.

Nyles helped Steve put on the bow numbers on the boat.

Nyles running in the rain during his track practice.

Nyles (in the orange) running at track practice.

Carter wanted to run w/ them during their practice, so Steve let him try next to them.

Steve got our new vanity in and we got the granite countertop installed.  Making progress!

And it rained some more, so the boys happily helped scoop the puddles out of the boat.

Silly Piper loves to shake her bed.

Hudson trying some peanut butter.  He likes it!
Don't you love his cute duck fuzz hair?  Steve had the same hair as a baby except it was blond.

Cute baby Hudson playing w/ his sheep.

On Saturday we dropped off Nyles and Carter w/ Dave and Joann to go w/ them to the zoo again.  We then headed out to get our 2nd dose of our Moderna vaccine.  Hudson played some a couple toys while we switched over their car seats and stuff.

We did!  We are officially fully vaccinated!  Last time it was raining really hard that we didn't really have to wait in line in our cars.  This time though, we waited the 15 minutes in our cars.  It wasn't that bad though and it was a beautiful day!

I love all the flowers coming in bloom.  We have Daffodils and Tulips.  I absolutely LOVE them!

Nyles and Carter had another great time at Hogle Zoo w/ Grandma and Grandpa McGrath.  They met up w/ Stacie, London Claire and Conor.  Lynsie also came along again.  They all had a great time!

Learning to play drums while at the zoo.

Comparing how tall they all are to the size of the bear.
Eating some ice cream.  And hitching a hide in the wagon.

More exploring the animals and having fun.

Hanging around like monkeys.

After we got back from getting our vaccines, Steve went out fishing w/ Rob.  I stayed home and put Hudson down for a nap.  Steve and Rob got some more pictures of their tail kit on the boat.

Rob fishing off the boat and driving the boat w/ the new grab bar and Mud Skipper sent Steve.
The grab bar is to help keep your balance.

Rob was the only one who caught a fish, a white bass.

While Steve was out playing on the boat and Hudson was taking a nap, I went out and mowed the law for the first time.  I wore the monitor on my shirt while I mowed.  Thankfully I was able to finish the whole lawn and rake up the pine needles before he woke up.  I'm so excited to be able to mow the lawn again!  I'm also excited the lawn is coming back alive again.

Beautiful blossoms and flowers!

Cute Carter wearing his goggles around.

Steve got the faucet hooked up and handles put on.  We are back in business.  Good work Steve!

Piper just laying next to Carter, keeping his safe :)

Saturday night Steve and I both got the chills (after our 2nd Covid shot), so we went to bed a little early.  We both had chills throughout the night.  The next morning, Steve felt good but I was SUPER tired and was nauseous at times.  My arm was really sore again too, but being tired and cold was my biggest problem.  I stayed in bed until 9am (in between feeding Hudson), then got up for church at home.  After our sacrament meeting, I was cold and SUPER tired again, so I went back to bed.  I fed the baby in between, but didn't get up out of bed until 2pm.  Ironically I felt a lot better after that, but then Steve started feeling achy in his joints.  We took it easy on Sunday, and I even took Monday off in anticipation of not feeling well.  Sunday night we both got sweaty at times, but thankfully felt so much better on Monday.  We're glad to have it behind us now!
