For fun
So since it was such a nice day, after a good nap, we decided to take a walk to a close elementary school. Once we got there, we played around on the playground. It was a lot of fun, just being a kid again. The slides were a little tight but still fun. Here are some pics of our fun (taken on Steve's phone)!
Mini Golf
So Friday night, we went on a double w/ Zack and Allie (a girl from Steve's class). He decided to set them up, just for fun. We went and picked her up, then went to Chile's for dinner. Dinner was yummy, then we headed over to play mini golf. We had a lot of fun; I even got a hole in one!!! We played against them as teams, and beat them by one point!
Shelving
I'm soooo excited, we finally got some shelves up in our laundry room! We've been wanting to get some up since we moved in, but it was never top priority I guess. So finally this week we decided to do it. Steve went to Home Depot and got the materials, but it came up to be $65, so we took it back. Then this weekend I went over to Wal-mart to get some things and was looking around and found a prepackaged shelving kit. It was perfect! 2 shelves, adjustable, for only $16.... gotta love it! I hurried home and we put them up, well Steve did (great job honey). They look great and it's so much more organized now!
We also found 2 shelves at Target to put up in the living room for pictures. Since we got the new tv, and entertainment center, we now had more space up top, so we decided to fill it up w/ pictures. Steve put up the shelves and I put up the pictures. I think they look great too!

From the weekend......
I didn't put the full update on stuff we did this past weekend, so I figured I'd better write it down before I forget and before this weekend comes. So Friday night we invited Brandy over (from Steve's class), along w/ the missionaries. We had her come over a 1/2 hr early, showed her around and just talked. After the missionaries got there, we had dinner. We decided to make fajitas on the grill. Steve got everything pretty much ready by the time I got home, so that was nice. We marinated the chicken, then grilled it, along w/ red peppers and onions. They turned out really well (good job honey).
After dinner we decided to have the lesson. We had the missionaries teach a 1st
lesson, about the Restoration. The lesson went really. She seemed to understand things a lot more this time. Again she stated that she feels something is missing in her life, but was still a little hesitant to accept the commitments to read and pray (due to she's busy). After the lesson we had root beer floats, yummmm! The elders left after that, but Brandy stayed for a little while longer to talk and also help Steve w/ some homework.
Brandy wasn't able to make it to church, but we've been following up on her. I sent her a text yesterday to ask about her reading/praying and she said she's been slacking a little. I then told her why it's so important to read and pray; The Book of Mormon will help help her find the answers that she's looking for. She then committed to read at least 4 times a week, which is awesome! I then felt I should ask her to read 2 Nephi 2 (about the plan of salvation) instead of just going cover to cover, and she said she'd read it! We're going to see if she'd like to meet w/ the missionaries again for the 2nd lesson.
So on Sunday, Steve gave a talk along w/ the missionaries, and of course they talked about missionary work. Dave and Joann came to hear him speak, which turned out to be a miracle. The Spirit was really strong during the whole meeting; they all did a great job of teaching how we can all do a better job at inviting others to learn more of the Gospel. As the meeting got over, I went to the back to wait for Steve, and as we were waiting, a man came up to us. Immediately Dave and Joann recognized him. The three of them practically grew up together. They hugged, then he turned to me and said...this is my home teacher. Steve and I have been trying to get a hold of him for months, but no luck. Earlier in the week, I felt we should try and call him again, and surprisingly he answered the phone. He then said he would meet us and church and we could talk. So, there he was, and ironically Dave and Joann were there also. He said he could tell Steve was Dave's son (he talked about fishing in his talk and by his looks I'm sure). As they talked, you could tell that he has been struggling in the life lately. I'm not sure all the details yet, but I definitely feel that we were meant to be his home teachers for a reason. Also, yesterday, Dave ran into him at the Dr's office. Just another sign letting us know that there is something that only we (the McGraths) can help him with.
I had a pretty rough week this past week, with school and work and everything piled on. After class on Thursday, I vented to Steve, which helped. He then offered to give me a blessing, so I agreed. The blessing he gave me was one of the most powerful and spiritual one's I've ever had. The Lord was directly speaking to me and the Spirit was really strong in our home. We both were touched by the message we received. I felt so much better after getting the blessing. I'm so thankful for Steve and his worthiness to have the Priesthood in our home. I love his soooo much!
On Saturday, Steve decided to take me on a date, a surprise date. He talked to his parents and decided to do a double w/ them. We went over there and had Asian food, then watched, "The Proposal" w/ my yummy popcorn mix I make. It was a lot of fun and just what I needed! Thanks honey for doing something special for me; I really appreciate it. :)

First Hair Cut
Steve learned to cut his hair during his mission and continued to do so for about a year after. But.....slowly over time he has become "busier" and has been paying someone to do it for him. Well, in an effort to cut costs, we decided that I was going to learn to cut his hair. So, after just one lesson......here is the result! Not too bad for my first time eh?

Roommate Get Together

Yesterday I got together with my former roommates and neighbors at Olive Garden for lunch. A couple weeks ago, when my former neighbor Stephanie moved into our branch, we decided we should have a get together w/ everyone. So I contacted everyone on Facebook and we scheduled to have lunch together. The last time we were all together was back in the Fall of 2002 when we were freshmen at Snow College! It was fun to see everyone, catch up, and reminisce about the "good 'ole days." We were actually the last group of girl who lived in the Fern Young dorms at Snow. The next year they actually turned the dorm into the school radio station. We definitely had some good times together. We're all married now and all but me have kids. It's crazy how fast time goes by. We're going to try to get together more often now!

Weekend Update
Just a couple updates from the weekend.....
Friday night, we decided to go looking for a new entertainment stand for our new
flat screen TV. We went over to RC Willey, just to get some ideas, then I remembered there was a Big Lots just down the road, so we went there. They actually had several to choose from at great prices, so we got one! We somehow got it to fit in my little car and took it home. Rob came over to help us assemble it while we watched the opening ceremony of the Olympics. After we got done, we hooked up my computer w/ the HDMI cord to watch Medium.
On Saturday, Steve and I cleaned the condo, then I went and met my sisters Rose and
Pauline at Applebees for a late b-day celebration. We had a good time chatting and catching up, then went over to my place for a bit. I showed them around and we talked about possible ways to improve it. It was fun getting together; we'll have to do it more often.
I then started getting things ready for dinner to feed the missionaries. I decided to make enchiladas and brownies w/ toffee bits and ice cream. They came over at 5 pm, and seemed to enjoy the meal. After dinner, Steve and I both showed them some mission photos of ours and mission stories. It was good to have them over and get to know them a little better. They always stop by when I'm at work, so I hadn't officially met them. We're having them over this Friday also, for dinner and the 1st lesson w/ Brandy. As soon as they left, we hurried and changed and made our way over to the temple to do inititories. I just love the Spirit of the temple!!!
On Sunday, we had church like normal. We also had a meeting for new members to the branch, and we actually got a few new couples. One of the ways we help w/ missionary work is by welcoming the new members to our branch. We're also trying to reach out to the less actives and get them coming again.
After church we made crepes together. I used the new pan my mom gave me for my birthday; it works great!!! It has smaller ridges on the side so it's easier to flip, and I also used the turner Carrie gave me last year...the two worked excellent together! We put strawberries, bananas, nutella, whip cream, powdered sugar, etc on them. They were so good!!! Yumm, I love crepes!
After taking an afternoon nap, we got ready and headed over to Dave/Joann's to go to LuDeans for dinner. We had chicken cordon blue, rice, rolls, and veggies. It was
all sooo good. I also made dessert which was a chocolate cake, w/ carmel in the middle, whip cream then toffee toppings on top; it was good. Afterwards, we played a couple games which I love as well. Thanks everyone. :)

Birthday Time !!!!!
Wow, so it's been a while since I've posted, so I've better get going. Things have been pretty crazy around here. We've both been really busy w/ school and have had a good amount of homework. I've also been pretty busy at work as well. We just started a new campaign at the beginning of February, which will go until the end of March. So, I've been doing some overtime in order to keep up w/ things.
On Wednesday it was my birthday. I had work like normal, then was able to get off an hour early. I hurried home, and when I got there Steve had balloons and all my cards I received on the table. He also had gotten me a really cool plant/tree. It's called a Azelea Topiary Tree. I've never seen one nor heard of one, but I love it! It's so beautiful and just lights up the whole room. Steve decided to get me this instead of just flowers since flowers tend to only last a couple days and he figured this will last for years! He said it reminded him of the beautiful flowers in Slovenia as well, so it was perfect!
We then went to Ruby River Steakhouse, where we went last year, for dinner. It was great! The atmosphere was just what we wanted....country music, clean, and quiet. We split a meal, since they're always so big and we wanted to save room for 
dessert. Steve had the BBQ ribs and I had the steak. I also had a Cesar salad and Steve had a fried/bakes potato. They then brought out a yummy dessert, free for my birthday (and the best part is they didn't do a silly song or dance). The dessert was an ice cream cake w/ peanut butter in the middle and whip cream, chocolate, Carmel and nuts around it. Also on the bottom was a chocolate cookie crust, so yummy!!!!
We then went to see if the redbox machine was working. I reserved it online, but when Steve went to go pick up, the machine was uploading so he couldn't. Luckily when we went back there it was working and we got the dvd! We then stopped by Dave/Joann's to say hi. They also wanted to give me my birthday card. We went home and had to work on homework for a while, unfortunately. I had a big 15 page paper due the next day and had to do some final touches on it. We then watched our movie, and Steve gave me a massage (thanks Honey).
We watched it in our room in bed, which was nice, since we have 2 tvs now!....... if I didn't announced it..........we got a FLAT SCREEN LCD 32 INCH TV this week!!!!! I got some perk points at work and decided to use them. We put the flat screen in the living room and moved the old one in our room. We decided it would be nice to have when we're sick or whatever. The TV is great! The color and picture is awesome, and Steve has a HDMI cord what we can hook up and connect to my computer! I also ordered the movie, "Ice Age, Dawn of the Dinosaurs." We love those shows!!! My mom also ordered a crepe pan and recipe book ...I love crepes (thanks Mom). Thanks everyone for the phone calls, songs, cards and your thoughts... I really appreciated it ;)
I really had a great birthday.....Side note....just some thoughts....when we were sitting at the restaurant (where we went last yr also for my birthday), I was thinking about how much more comfortable I feel w/ Steve this than last. Not that I didn't love him or felt awkward before, it's just that my love for him has grown soooooo much over this past year and I feel soooo comfortable, at easy and peach w/ him. We both have grown closer, having to learn to communicate and work together on our goals so much more. Then when we were watching the movie, I looked over at Steve and had this REALLY strong feeling come over me. It was more spiritual than physical or emotional. It's hard to explain, other than I felt drawn to him and
just LOVE HIM SOOOOO MUCH!!!
Well...other than that....Steve has been busy w/ school along w/ myself. I'll be done w/ this class in 2 weeks, then start another one. There were also 2 baby showers the last 2 Sundays for London (Stacie and Phil's little girl) and Cameron (Jeff and Kim's little boy). Steve's grandpa Carl also came up from Arizona, so it was good to see him. It's been great to get together w/ everyone. I made some banana chocolate chip bread; Steve said it was my best yet!
My parents also came down last weekend and we were able get together Saturday night
to celebrate my birthday. We all went to Rose's, had pizza, then cake and ice cream. We then played games for while, which I love! Thanks:)
Oh, and if I also didn't mention it...I cut my hair last week. It was getting long, and I just wanted to have it short again, so we got it cut. I'm loving it, and Steve said he likes it too (though he normally prefers long hair).
