Friday the 17th we loaded up in the car and headed back up to Idaho for the Hegerhorst Family Reunion the next day. The reunion was up in Boise so we decided to stay w/ Barbara. Here are some highlights of our trip.
Carter taking a nap on the way up. Nyles enjoying a movie.
Carter thought it was pretty fun for me to make a magnetic tower for him to smash. I brought a cookie sheet which the Magnaformers could stick to for the car trip. The boys that it was pretty fun, plus they could drive their cars on it too. Thank you Pinterest!
When we got up to Barb's house the boys had fun playing w/ their cousins. Anna's boys were there too until late that night, so they got to play w/ them too.
Carter on the trampoline w/ their dog Zoee, Nyles on the bike, and Ayden in the car.
They had lots of fun jumping!
Abby practiced her line dancing to "Cotton Eye Joe." Carter and Ayden joined in.
After dinner we walked over to the park and played for a little while. It was pretty hot though so we didn't stay very long. Carter enjoyed going down the slide, on his own of course.
More slides. Brady, Barb and Dallin relaxing on the bench.
Ayden, Carter and Nyles climbing up the stairs.
Nyles and Steve on the swings. Carter being silly w/ the soccer net.
Then back at Barb's place eating Popsicles to cool down.
Ayden loving life! He's a happy little boy!
Dallin pushing Ayden in the car.
Ayden and Carter strolling around.
The next morning as Carter was getting his breakfast Zoee wanted to have some.
Then at the reunion Nyles joined in for a big game of Jenga.
Cute Carter w/ Grandma Hegerhorst. Now showing us his blue taffy he was eating.
More Jenga. Carter, Ed, Abby, Dallin and Barb playing.
Margie helping Bridon w/ Jenga.
Ed helping Carter.
He was so proud of himself.
Nyles, Abby and Calley trying now.
Sage and Nyles giving each other fist pumps. Cousins only exactly 6 months apart.
Now high five!
Making bubbles.
More bubbles.
Mitch, Grandma Valere and baby Quincy.
Coloring rocks and playing games.
We then went into the church gym and played some more. Mitch brought this fun game, kinda like volleyball and four square combined. You have to hit it into someone else's square w/ only 1 hit or you're out. It was a lot of fun!
Hadlees holding her younger cousin Oliver's hand.
Hadlee and Oliver joining w/ Emily now.
Rich was the DJ and had line dancing going as well.
Later we went back out and played some games as team members.
Shooting the cups w/ water guns to get them to move across the string.
Corinne, Grandma VaLere Hegerhorst, and Chris.
Emily and Hadlee doing the 3 legged race.
Steve and Carter eating an oreo cookie during the ice cream break.
Then we did our annual auction. Uncle Dan was the host.
The kids were pretty excited so they did the kids tables first.
Everyone hopes to have their name called. It's like winning the lottery, sorta :)
Finishing up the adult tables.
Cute Carter, just being silly w/ Grandma.
Uncle Harold was asleep during the auction, until his name got called and he won a prize.
Nyles won a moose slingshot that Uncle Rick made, yeah!

On the road again. Playing w/ the magnets again and his truck.
Nyles watching a movie and Carter taking a nap again.
We had a great time at the Hegerhorst Family Reunion. We didn't go 2 years ago because Carter was just born. It was good seeing family and catching up. I'm so thankful for the family we have and the knowledge of the restored gospel. I know families can be together forever!
