Here are some highlights of the last week of April.
On Monday, April 22nd, we played Gaga Ball for our boys Primary Activity Day.
They had fun, then we had Popsicles afterwards.
Steve also added another layer of our retaining wall brick by the sandbox to try and keep the sand in the sandbox and the mulch by the tree. Good work Steve!
Steve also made cement curbing around our new Hydrangea plant. Awesome work honey!
I had to go into work the whole week, taking the train every day of course. The SLC temple and visitor's centers under construction. They put the Angel Moroni back on top though.
Tuesday evening we went to check out the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point.
Stacie, Phill, Claire and Conor met us there.

Steve took Nyles to the temple Thursday evening to do baptisms for the dead. Friday afternoon Steve took the boys and 3 friends to the Curiosity Museum. Steve also smoked ribs one night for dinner and Dave came over to eat w/ us. They were super yummy; good work Steve!
Another great quote. Carter went to a friend birthday party and the theme was Harry Potter.
He came back w/ glasses, so of course Hudson wanted to try them on. Cement completed.

Here are some highlights from the 3rd week of April. We had a pretty busy week, something each night going on.
Monday, April 15th we had our boys Primary Activity. We made bird houses that my mom gave me (leftovers from when she taught the Scouts). Thankfully Steve was able to come and help along w/ a couple of the moms. The kids needed all the help they could get! It took the whole hour to get them done, but they did it!

Nyles is now doing his last training w/ his old instructor, Thomas Harper, to get his black belt. He gets one on one training w/ him, over the next couple months, to make sure he has adequate skills to get his black belt.

Tuesday, we went to the Taylorsville Temple Open House, while Nyles was young men's. We took the bus over from the parking lot. Carter and Hudson said it was so fun to ride the bus!
We got there at a perfect time, right before it got busy. We were able to walk through it w/in 30 minutes. Beautiful flowers around the temple and family pictures.
We also got our new license plates for the Sequoia!
Thankfully they both fit in the garage :)
Wednesday, Hudson had his preschool rec center class.
He really enjoys going to them!

Thursday night, Nyles had a musical program he participated in at school. He's been going to morning practice at 7:40am on Tuesdays and Thursdays since January.
Dave and Diane were able to come as well.
Nyles did a great job on his speaking part and dances.
Their teacher Miss Vinuesa is the teacher of the year!
Friday afternoon, Steve went fishing w/ Nyles and Hudson and Rob. Carter actually stayed home from school and fishing, since he was throwing up most of Thursday night and into the morning.
They actually caught a lot of fish!

They brought home 14 fish. Hudson had to literally "pet" each one of them. Silly kid ;)
While they were gone, I mowed the lawn. I love seeing the yard come back to life. Steve finished putting new mulch all the way around the yard. It was a lot of work, but looks great! Cute pear tree.

Saturday Steve and I were able to go do sealings at the Draper Temple. Rob came and sat w/ the boys. Earlier that morning Hudson took scissors to his hair and cut a chunk out.
Our microwave also died Friday night, so we bought a new one and Steve replaced it. Thankfully it fit perfectly in the old spot; we didn't even have to exchange the brackets.
Steve had to buzz Hudson's hair in order to match how close he cut his own hair.
Thankfully he likes it! He calls it his soft hair :)
Sunday, we went down to Provo to visit Joann in the long term acute care center. We made a Tinkerbell for her out of Perler Beads (she loves Tinkerbell). Hudson fell asleep on the way down.
We played and sang Happy Birthday to her on the Ukulele and I am a Child of God. Hudson also danced and sang to the Oompa Loompa song and The Tree of Life.
Steve being silly. Getting a picture together. It was so great to see Joann again. The kids and I haven't seen her since the beginning of March, before she had her surgery. We are hoping and praying she can get her strength back to come home soon.
