1st half of March

March is going quickly so I need to get caught up.  Here are some highlights.

Dave and Joann went w/ Steve and the boys to the Aquarium.

Steve put in can lights also in the laundry room before the half bathroom.  So much brighter! 

Carter came up and gave Nyles a big hug after he was gone like 5 minutes seeing if the neighbor was home to play.  I guess he missed him in that amount of time.  Silly boy:)

Steve, Dave and Nyles took the little boats out at Jordanelle one Saturday.

They had a lot of fun, though they didn't catch any.

They came up to play w/ Conor for a little while.

After saving up for 2 years, we decided to redo our kitchen.  And while we were at it we also decided to redo our kitchen floor.  We wanted to get the floors done before our new cabinets get installed.  Steve started ripping out the old tile last week.  Of course the boys wanted to be right there were Steve was working, and afterwards they also wanted to play where he left off.

And under the tile we found the old yellow linoleum.  

The same stuff we found in our bathrooms and laundry room.

That Friday I took work off so we could work on the floor some more.  We rented a jackhammer to get the tile out a little quicker.  We had it for 3 hours and Steve got most of it done.  It was definitely faster than doing it by hand w/ a crowbar.

It was rather noisy and dusty, as you might expect, so I took the boys to the aquarium while Steve worked on getting the tile out.  Nyles and Carter by the Asian otters.

Rest of February

Here are some final updates from the last couple weeks of February.

Nyles w/ his Valentine's hearts on his door.

Each heart says something we love about him.  Some on Carter's door too.

He loves the water, so he basically takes a bath every night.

We went to the Aquarium while Steve was fishing.

Steve went w/ Melanie and 3 of her kids one Saturday to the Aquarium.  Carter was taking a nap so I stayed home w/ him.  Nyles, Olivia and Melanie at the Aquarium.

Flashback:  Steve and Elder Edwards on his mission, on a ferry coming back from Vancouver Island.

They were companions in the MTC but not companions out in the field, yet Steve said they were always in the same district out in the field.

Steve made wooden shelves for our half bathroom downstairs.

We invited Rose and Pauline's families over for dinner for my birthday.

Nyles, Carter and Ezra all wanted to help blow the candles out.

That night we got dumped on again w/ snow.  

Luckily it was President's Day that Monday, so we didn't have to go to work.

We got just over a foot again!  Winter came back w/ a vengeance! 

I'd say the groundhog was 100% correct this year; 6 more weeks of winter.

The birds were loving our bird feeder w/ all the snow on the ground.

The next day getting on the train, still plenty of snow.

Carter likes these slippers.  He's doing a little dance here w/ them on.

 We picked up some tile at Floor and Decor.  We finally decided we're going to redo the tile that goes from the entry way into the kitchen.  We've also ordered new kitchen cabinets, so we plan to get the tile done before the cabinets are put in.  Needless to say, we've got a little work to do in the next month before the cabinets get here.

They were celebrating 100 days of being in school.

That Saturday we took the boys out sledding.

We all had a lot of fun enjoying the snow!

Carter thought it was fun to sit on the blanket and have Nyles pull him around.

What a silly boy.  He sure loves his older brother.

  Steve finally connected the water line to the fridge.  We now have running water in the fridge.  Since we had a couple spots cut out in the floor beneath the kitchen when Steve put in the can lights down there, we figured now was a great time to connect the water line.  Good work honey!
