May 2nd Week

We had a busy 2nd week of May.  Here are some highlights.

The entire 1st grade participated in a program called, "Once upon a Lilly pad."
It was really cute.  Nyles was an Alligator.

Steve, Dave, Carter, Joann and I watching the program.  Thankfully we were all able to come.  I was working from home so I was able to sneak away for a while to go watch it then come back and work.

Cute Nyles.  He said he wanted to take off his socks :)

Getting ready for their turn to sing/dance.

Singing their song, "Listen to your parents, listen and obey.  Listen to your parents, do just what they say."  It was really cute!  Steve taped it and Carter loves to watch it over and over.

The whole 1st grade class.

Nyles during his speaking part in the program.

Nyles did an awesome job!  He worked hard and it showed.

Nyles wanted to wear a dinosaur in his hair for "crazy hair day" at school, so Steve made this hair clip for him to wear.   Pretty creative right?

Carter and Nyles just digging in the dirt above our wall w/ their trucks and shovels.

It's Spring finally!  Our lilac bush smells so wonderful.  We had large amounts of butterflies recently on them.  It was neat to see.  Our Irises blooming as well.

Pretty colors.

The Irises look really cool on the inside.  Saturday afternoon we went to the Rec Center to go swimming.  We went there for a birthday party Nyles was invited to while Steve was gone in LA, so the boys said we had to take daddy back.  So we did.  It was a lot of fun!

Carter going down the little slide.

Nyles going down the BIG slide.  I went with him almost every time.  There were 42 stairs to get to the top.  It was a lot of fun actually!

Nyles won the grand prize from the "fun run."  He gets to go on a limo ride on May 31st to Bahama Bucks w/ 17 other students and the Principal.  Lucky kid!

For Mother's Day we went up to Melanie/Brandon's house in Midway after church.  Pauline and Chris followed us up as well.  We got there around 3pm then had dinner around 5:30pm.  It was fun and laid back.  The kids played and we visited.

The boys fell asleep on the way up of course.

We all had a great time visiting and the kids had fun playing.  Thanks for hosting Melanie and Brandon!  We hope everyone had a very special Mother's Day.
