First week of September

Here are some highlights from the first week of September.

A call from Goofy!  We're getting excited for our cruise!

On Monday, September 1st (Labor Day/No School or work), we decided to float/kayak down the Provo River again.  We did it 3 years ago and wanted to do it again.  We left at 9am to get down to the river.

Ready to go!

And we're off!  Hudson rode down w/ Steve the whole time.

The scenery was beautiful!  We even saw some longhorn cows.

There were several people floating down the river in tubes and some on paddleboards also.

We were able to maneuver pretty well w/ our kayaks thankfully.

The water was low in some areas and fast in others.

Surprisingly the water wasn't that cold, even in the morning, it actually felt good to get wet.

We had a great time and made it down and out in a couple hours.  It was awesome!

After we got back, we loaded up Dave/Joann's patio furniture to take over to them (it's been at our place over the Summer).  After unloading the furniture, we helped put up a pegboard on a wall in their garage for Dave.

Steve finishing drilling the last few holes.  The rack we helped install on Friday.  The shelf we got put in place under the rack.  The patio furniture set up.  Everything is coming together at their new place!

On Tuesday, Steve and Nyles had YM's, so Carter, Hudson and I went to the park.  Carter also started doing choir in the mornings on Tuesday and Thursdays at school.  He's really liking it.

Steve has been working on the blinds on the boat for duck hunting coming up.  We went to Wheaton Park after school/work one night.  Our peach tree is full again this year!

I've been taking Piper on walks every morning (when I'm working from home).  We both really enjoy it.  We're almost ready for our cruise.  We fly today, Saturday, September 6th, and board the ship on Monday, September 8th.  I've been thinking about what to do with all of our Mickey pirate bandanas that we receive from Pirate Night every time on the cruise, and I saw an idea to make them into a blanket.  So, after this next cruise, we'll start working on it!

Piper on our walk.  Almost cruise time!
