Day at Castaway Cay (Disney's private island)

On Wednesday, September 10th, we were at Castaway Cay, Disney's private island.  It is one of our favorite places to visit, and thankfully, every Disney Cruise we've been on, we've stopped there for a day to enjoy it.

The view of Castaway Cay looking out from our balconies.

Cool chief towel animal on our way to breakfast.

We said hi to Chip and Dale before going to the beach.

Looking back at the Disney Wish Ship.
Rapunzel on the back (they have different characters on each one).

A few more pictures before walking to the beach.

And a few more :)

We then found some chairs, umbrellas, and some hammocks to enjoy.

We went walking along the beachline, and someone offered to take a picture for us.  :)

Carter and Nyles enjoying the obstacle course.

Then playing in the water on floaties.  Hudson was excited to go snorkeling.
Carter stayed back w/ Diane, while Nyles, Hudson, Steve and I went out.  Hudson didn't last too long this time, so Steve took him back, while Nyles and I finished snorkeling.

Then we went over to the slides.

Hudson and Nyles going down the slide.

Fun picture next to Olaf.  Beautiful Castaway Cay.

Then over to Cookies Too for lunch!  A lizard checking us out.

And then ice cream of course!

After lunch, we went down the slides MANY more times, and played in the water.  It was an awesome day.  Though it was cloudy, it didn't rain on us the whole day!  We had another beautiful day on the island.  It was wonderful to relax and enjoy the day.  The day always goes too fast!

So much fun.  Taking the tram back to the ship.

Then a little walk.

One more picture before getting on the ship.
Cool Moana door back on the ship.

Looking out at the island from our balcony, as we head out to sea again.

It was pirate night that night, rrrrhhh.  Getting our dinner!

Then some dessert!  There were a LOT of strollers parked at dinner, thankfully not ours ;)

Some pictures in our pirate attire.

Enjoying the beautiful evening on the ship.
The water was amazingly calm.

Cool towel animals back in our rooms.
Then we went to The Little Mermaid play.  It was fantastic!

The employee at the ice cream station was from Peru.  We encourage the boys to speak Spanish to employees, and Carter spoke to her often (as he often got ice cream).  She gave Carter a llama which says Cusco Peru.  Ironically Carter has another one from his Spanish teacher.  He was so excited to get it, to say the least!

Cool llama.  Pirate party up on deck.  Pretty moon.

Then fireworks! Only Steve, Nyles and I went up to watch them.
The rest were tired and getting ready for bed.

We had an amazing fun-filled day on the beautiful Castaway Cay!  We only had one more day left on the ship, but we were going to try and enjoy it the best we could :)
