4th/Last week of August

Here are some highlights from the last week of August.

Beautiful sunset.  Steve and Nyles did baptisms for the dead on Tuesday.

Steve has been working on his new blind for the boat.  On Wednesday, Nyles and Steve had a stake activity for both YW/YM.  They reviewed the highlights from Trek and played the games that they weren't able to, due to the fire that cut the trip short.

I took Carter and Hudson to the park and library while they were gone.

The blind is looking good!  Thursday, we went over to Wheeler Farm to check out some honey being extracted.  Katy Peck, someone Steve worked with during Trek, was doing the honey extraction.  She actually teaches classes for Utah State Extension.

It was really neat to see the honey come out.  We even tried it; yummy!
She taught us a lot about bees as well while we were there.

Steve finished one side of the blinds.
Hudson, Carter and Nyles playing w/ sand.

Friday night we picked up pizza, then went over to eat w/ Dave/Joann.  We then helped put up a hanging shelf in their garage.  The boys had fun playing while we worked.

Steve finishing the final screws, then the boys testing it's strength and their own.

The boys helping Steve w/ the other side of the blind, putting grommets in the tarp.
Then having an ice cream after they were done.

Nyles and Carter built a marble run.  I made some cinnamon sourdough on Sunday.  Steve smoked a beef roast for dinner.  We went over to LuDean/Diane's place for dinner.  Dave/Joann met us there.  After dinner we played a game of blank slate.  It was a lot of fun!

Great quotes:
