3rd Week of August

School started the 3rd week of August so we are back in the swing of things.  Nyles started 2nd grade, Steve started his rotations at LDS Hospital, and Carter will start preschool after Labor Day.  It's going to be a busy semester, but the Lord will help.  Here are some pics.

Carter LOVES puzzles.  He does them almost every day, usually after dinner.  He's getting so good and fast and completing them.  Nyles and Carter playing w/ moon sand.

Nyles was tested last month for his peanut allergy.  The scale is from 1 to 13.  He used to be in the middle at a 7, but this time he was a 2.1.  The Dr said around 2 they aren't worried about peanuts and usually aren't a problem.  He said we should try slowly introducing peanuts back to Nyles and see how he does.  He's tried peanuts in many forms, and so far so good.  We thought since he's done so well for a month we could go eat out at Texas Roadhouse (which have peanuts everywhere) to celebrate his birthday (he had a free kids meal).

 Nyles started 2nd grade on Monday, August 19th.  He was so excited! 

He has 2 teachers this time, Mrs. Lo and Mrs. Joyce (they switch off mid week).

Steve also started his rotations again.  This Semester he is up at LDS Hospital downtown.  He's supposed to get 32 hours in every week, but we're trying to squeeze it into 3 days a week so Steve can be home w/ the boys more.  He leaves the house at 6am in order to start at 7am, then has class Monday nights at 5pm over in South Jordan, and the other 2 nights he stays until closing at 6pm.  He also has an online class to do.  I am able to work from home 50% of the time (per month), so I'm home 2, sometimes 3 days a week.  This way I can take the boys over to the neighbor's to be watched and get them off to school.  Plus pick up them around 5pm so we can get dinner, then homework.  They are REALLY long days for all of us, but we're trying to make them work.  Steve will have a busy semester in the Spring as well, but the Summer should be lighter again, then he's done!  We're trying to stay positive and keep the perspective that we are on the down hill side now.
