1st week of July

Here are some highlights from the 1st week of July. 

Steve wanted to "try" out the firewood we cut down and make sure it was good for us and others we might sell to.  It burned great.  The boys of course made s'mores.  And Hudson played in the watertable while Piper tried to catch the water stream.

Haha Hudson drew a Dung Beetle.  Steve took the boys to Lagoon on Tuesday.  He picked up Diane on the way up and met Stacie there.  Hudson on a ride at Lagoon.  A cool shadow from the playhouse.

We went up to Midway for the 4th of July to Melanie and Brandon's place.  We had a BBQ lunch, then went over to the pool. Carter and I then played pickleball w/ Alexa and Olivia.

We then put up the slip and slide.

Then some games.  Melting ice to get the bell out: "let freedom ring."  

You can't break it, only melt it.  Carter got his out first.

Another game:  getting jelly letters out of Jello w/out using your hands.

We are so thankful to live in America and blessed for the freedoms we enjoy.

The next day, Friday, July 5th, Steve went up near Strawberry Reservoir again to cut more firewood w/ the boys and Dave.  They found a lot of great sized dead trees to cut down.  They chopped it up the next day.  Good work boys!  I worked late Friday night, then mowed the lawn.
