I have a lot to catch up on, since we had a lot going on. Here are some highlights from the last of April and the first week of May.
Pretty Lilac bushes in bloom. They smell so good!
Tuesday, I flew out to Chicago for a work conference. We stayed at a Renaissance Hotel in Downtown Chicago. We were right across from the river. We went out to lunch. I had a yummy protein bowl.
We had a little bit of time before the conference started, so we went and explored a little bit near us. We walked over to the "Bean" or "Cloud Gate", but it's under construction. A few people on my team (Matt Heiner, Eldon Kearl, me and Shaun Wilson). We saw a Nutella shop, but didn't stop in to check it out.
We walked around by the hotel by the river. There was a Fidelity office across the street.
There were a lot of water taxis and tours, a Trump building, and super high buildings, including a skyrise condo w/ cars parked inside.
My view from my room. You can see the river below. It's the river they die green for St. Patrick's Day, like in the movie The Fugitive. That night we went out for dinner for Chicago Deep Dish Pizza.
Tuesday night, Nyles went w/ the YW/YM to see the Taylorsville Open house. He went w/ our neighbors, the Mortons. Kyle took pictures for us of the kids, Nyles w/ Kaitlyn and Cameron.
Our MSC Team out to dinner: back: Andrew Klindt, Christian Marinos, Tyler Hatch, Ron Claassen, Stafford Hoare, Matt Heiner, Eldon Kearl.
Middle: our manager Ryan Skelly, Me, Brent McKendrick, Dillon Slaugh.
front: Brandon Espinosa, Bill Mechling, Hailey Meihls, Shaun Wilson.
The next day, before dinner, I went w/ Hailey over to Lake Michigan. It's HUGE!
Beautiful Lake Michigan.
Pretty landscape, downtown Chicago. Wednesday night we had a combined activity of table tennis and dinner. They held a tournament to see who was best. It was entertaining.

Thursday morning, I woke up to protestors making a lot of noise (not sure about what). We left that afternoon to come home. I was ready to see the boys again :)
Hudson at his preschool rec class. Later building a cruise ship :)

Nyles working on this black belt training. Carter and Hudson joining in on the fun.
They went to a park to feed the ducks while I was gone.
The boys had a cute note and flowers for me when I got home.
We got our new Mickey shirts in the mail for our upcoming trip to Disney World.
More of the beautiful Lilac bush.
Friday after work, we went to the Tulip Festival w/ Pauline's family. So pretty!
Cute boys by the beautiful Tulips!
Family picture. Carter started not feeling well (headache), so he got in the stroller.
Cousin picture w/ the flowers: Hudson, Lincoln, Carter, Ezra, Nyles and Charlotte.
Girls in the flowers, Charlotte, Pauline and Penny then Hudson, Lincoln and Charlotte in the flowers. Nyles and Ezra.
They had bouncy houses as well, so the kids had to run through them. Another family picture.
On Saturday, Steve and Rob took the boys out fishing.
Silly Hudson. It started to rain, then turned to snow on Sunday.
We drove down to Provo to visit Joann for a little while, then took Dave w/ us up to Melanie's house for our family dinner night. We celebrated Cinco de Mayo since it was May 5th.
Hudson getting tickles from Stacie and Phill.
Dave wearing a sombrero. Steve and Phill wearing sombreros, sitting by Kim.
Cameron snuggling w/ Dusty. Singing Happy Birthday to Phill.
Hudson was really tired by the time we got home and fell asleep pretty quickly.
A hummingbird found our feeder! Piper had an infection in her paw, so they gave her the "cone" so she wouldn't lick it. Steve took Hudson to the butterfly museum w/ our neighbor's the Marcinowski's. Their son Timbo is a year older than Hudson.
Carter's teeth are finally getting close to coming back in. More rain then hail.
Hudson filled this out about me, in preschool, for Mother's day.
Great quotes:
