Disney World, Magic Kingdom

Friday morning, May 10th, we took a Lyft from our hotel over to Disney World.  I got our Genie Plus tickets that morning at 7am and booked our first ride.  It was SO HOT and humid, even at 8am in the morning!  We made good time though, and got there just before it opened.  They then have you take a little shuttle over to Magic Kingdom, from where the Lyft drops you off.

The entrance to Disney World.  Taking the tram over to Magic Kingdom.  The castle!

It was my first time ever going to Disney World and the boys first time as well.  Steve and Diane hadn't been since 2008, so they were excited to go back.  We were right there when it opened, so we were able to get in on a few rides with no wait.  We hit up Aladdin's carpet ride first.

Quick picture in front of the castle, then over to Adventureland for Aladdin's magic carpet ride.

Riding Aladdin, then Pirates of the Caribbean.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Jungle Cruise.

More Jungle Cruise fun.

Taking some fun pictures, Carter got a little tired, so he rode in the stroller for a bit.  Pretty bird.

Taking a break on Liberty Square Riverboat, Teacups, and the parade.

Then over to Space Mountain.  Hudson wasn't tall enough, so he enjoyed spraying the plants outside.

Silly Hudson playing in the backpack.  Nyles eating a powdered donut.  More rides.

Carter w/ a powdered donut.  Hudson spraying the plants.  Then onto another ride.

Astro Orbiter.

Dumbo, more fun rides and a pretty flower.

Haunted Mansion.

We got some dinner at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe.  It was nice to get out of the heat and into the A/C for a little bit, and get some real food, instead of just snacks.  While we were eating we were notified that our time to go on Tron had arrived.  I had put us on the virtual queue at 1pm and we finally got in!  We then finished up our dinner, and went over to Tron.  Steve stayed back w/ Hudson, who then fell asleep, while Diane and I took Nyles and Carter to Tron.

Hudson taking a good long nap.  Eating dinner.  In line for the Tron ride.

Getting ready for Tron.  As we came out, Hudson was still asleep.
Steve then did the rider switch, and went back w/ Nyles.

Tron ride.  You actually lay down on your belly on the motorcycle.  It freaked me out a little, but they secured us in well and we were safe.  I was worried little Carter was going to fall out, but he was just fine!  You came out in a gift shop of course, with lots of fun things to buy.  We looked, but didn't buy.

While Nyles and Steve were on Tron, Carter and Diane went back to Space Mountain to do it again.  I stayed w/ sleeping Hudson. Steve and Nyles actually beat them, so they then went to the race track.

Earlier Carter driving the car w/ Steve, then Nyles driving the car w/ Steve.
Me taking a video of Nyles driving.  Steve and Nyles on Tron.

Nyles driving a car, yikes!

The boys then wanted to make a souvenir penny each.

It was getting late, so we made it over to Peter Pan and It's a Small World, before the fireworks started.  We watched the fireworks for a little bit, the decided to head out before traffic got too bad.

It's a Small World ride.

Disney World Fireworks.

Thankfully we were able to get back to the Lyft pickup/drop-off areas in good time.  We were then able to call a Lyft and only waited a few minutes for it to come pick us up.  Leaving early definitely worked out before the huge crowd came.  We got back to our hotel just in time to shower and get to bed.  We were all pretty tired to say the least!

It was a fun, hot, action packed day.  We didn't hit up every ride, but we got most of them.  For never have been to Disney World we did pretty good.  I was able to use their app to get our Genie Plus passes and got almost all the rides we wanted.  We made our way through the different "lands" and hit up rides according to our Genie Plus and wait times.  I also logged over 21,000 steps!  It was a lot of fun.  We were also super excited to start our cruise adventure the next day!
