Hard to believe we finished up September this week. It went by really quick in my opinion. Hudson is doing better sleeping at night. He still gets up several times to feed, but he has had a few 4-5 hour stretches, which is amazing for me! Hopefully he'll continue to stretch it out during the night. He's a cute little boys and is starting to smile more and we're starting to see some of his personality. We're blessed to have him in our family. Here are some other highlights.
We went over to LuDean's Monday night for a parade her ward put on for Grandparents Day. They asked the grandparents to be in the parade and throw out candy. Jeff brought his Jeep for LuDean to sit in and the kids helped throw candy.

Watching the parade for Grandparents Day.
They asked the fire department to come, which the boys really enjoyed seeing.
The fire truck coming.
Jeff drove his Jeep w/ Grandma LuDean in the front.
Cameron, Alexa and Nyles were in the back throwing candy.

The strong winds blew down parts of Phill and Stacie's fence up in Centerville where the winds were stronger. The family decided to pitch in together and buy them supplies to replace the broken fence. Steve contacted his siblings, we gathered the funds, then Steve went to Home Depot and got the supplies for their fence. He then went up and helped Phill and Stacie put together the fence.
All the wood Steve got for the fence sections.
The 3 fence sections Steve helped Phill complete.
The fence on the right is what Steve helped him do earlier when they moved in.
Beautiful sunflower on our walk.
We stopped at a playground for a few minutes for the boys to play.
Then we went for a walk again. We brought Piper too this time.
Our 2nd and final watermelon from the garden (smaller than the 1st one).
The boys each with their half. They said it was super yummy!
Steve received his Certificate from Salt Lake Community College, showing his graduation from the program of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Great job Steve! With his certificate complete, Steve recently applied for his next test and is waiting acceptance from the board. Once it's approved he will sign up for an Abdomen test, which is his final one to be officially certified.
Pauline and her family came over for dinner. The kids enjoyed playing w/ one another again.
Charlotte, Carter, Nyles and Ezra playing "clogged toilet" on the slide.
Carter holding Hudson. Cute Hudson.
Carter likes to be close to Piper. He even lays on her bed w/ her.
Carter just relaxing next to Piper taking a nap.
Nyles sitting on a make-shift toilet Steve made (in case he needs it during duck hunting).

The kids in Nyles' class (the Spanish one) w/their teacher Senior Dunn.
They got to bring a stuffed animal into class as a reward for being good as a class.
On Friday, September 25th, Nyles didn't have school, so that evening we surprised the boys and went over to Gardner Village to find all the witches. The weather was nice and it wasn't super busy like it usually is (probably because it wasn't October yet). It was a fun evening.
They boys excited to get started.
Carter and Nyles in front of the witch playing baseball.
A witch out camping.
They didn't print the lists this year due to Covid, so I wrote down the list for them.
Hudson did great and took a nap while we found the witches.
Lots of pumpkins.
Cute Nyles and Carter.

Nyles saying hi to the witch. After finding all the witches we went over to Winco and picked out pumpkins and got a treat. We all had a good time. It was a fun family outing!
Cute baby Hudson.
On Saturday, Steve took the boys to the Draper ponds and went fishing. The ponds were just stocked w/ more fish so the boys caught lots of fish. They caught Small Mouth Bass, Pumpkin Seed Fish, and Bluegills. They had a great time!
Carter w/ the fish he caught and Nyles working on reeling one in.
Carter feeding the ducks some grain.
Cute Carter.
Our pretty mums are blooming!
We finally had a family dinner/get together after 6 months. We all wore masks just to be safe and we were mostly outside at Melanie and Brandon's place. Joann wanted to have a baby shower for Hudson as well, so we did both!

Lynsie and Carrie holding Hudson.
Ready to open gifts.
The boys helping to open gifts.
Then we played a baby shower version of Family Feud, boys vs girls.
It was a fun game!

Thanks everyone who contributed for both the wonderful meal and gifts. We really appreciate it!
Cute Hudson in his warmer PJs since the temperatures were cooler for a few days.
Dave heard how much fun the boys had fishing and decided to go w/ them on Monday.
Nyles and Dave caught a fish.
Carter feeding the ducks again.
Carter caught a fish w/ Steve's help, but was a little scared to get close to it since the fish cut Steve's finger a little w/ its fin.
Carter blowing bubbles and Piper trying to get them.

Piper actually bites them to pop them; it's really funny to watch.
Cute Hudson is growing. He is almost 6 weeks old.
Melanie gave everyone a packet of S'mores as a party favor from the baby shower on Sunday. The boys wanted to make the S'mores, so after homework was done and we went on a family walk, Steve made a small fire so the boys could roast some marshmallows.
Cute Carter and Nyles enjoying their S'mores in the backyard. Thanks Melanie!
