Half Bath Update

We finally decided to do something about our half bathroom, next to the garage.  We were both tired of looking at the white walls in the bathroom and laundry room.  Plus the floor was coming up in many places in the bathroom.  We budgeted it out how much it would cost, and made it happen.  Luckily since it was only a half bath, it didn't take as long.  We got our supplies and went to work.  We are loving the update and enjoying the "new" space.

The half bath when we first moved in.

Steve replaced the toilet right away when we moved in.  We also replaced the light fixture.  Steve started to paint the walls and that started our remodel.  Notice the flooring coming up.

We picked out the flooring at Floor and Decor.  It's waterproof vinyl.  We couldn't use tile since it would be too thick to go by the door coming from the garage.  This was quicker and easier to lay also.  It clicks in place and just lays over the ground.

Steve had fun pulling up the old floor ;)  It was super sticky underneath!

Getting ready to paint the bathroom and laundry room.
We started the paint and flooring the Saturday it snowed!

The laundry room all white before painting.

Now some paint on the walls!  It adds a little contrast.

Carter still helping after the paint is done.

Keeping the boys busy coloring on the boxes while Steve and I painted the walls, then started on the flooring.  Boxes are fun to play with!

Getting the flooring in.  Carter giving Steve a hug ;)

New floor looking good!

The original yellow floor that was in all the bathrooms.  They apparently didn't take it out in the closet next to the laundry.  The sticky tiles next to it that they replaced it with, then the new flooring.  All done in the bathroom now, yeah!  That's where we ended that Saturday night!

Looking good!

Getting the new vanity in place.

Steve finished the rest of the laundry room flooring.

Now with the baseboards up.

Getting the beadboard up.

Vanity in, new faucet, and mirror hung.

Before

After.
Bead board caulked now and toilet back in.  Plus new towel ring hung.

Steve took out the medicine cabinet also and moved the towel ring over.  New outlets also.  It feels bigger in there since the vanity is smaller.  We love it!  Thanks Steve for all your hard work!
