On Saturday, May 17th, we had breakfast at the hotel, then took a shuttle to take us over to the port (about 1 hour away). We then dropped off our bags, went through security, and boarded the ship!
Time to board the ship! The beautiful Treasure behind us. Making our way over to the ship and then on it! We were only a little excited!
After boarding, we went to eat lunch! The boys wanted ice cream of course!
We then went and checked out our new staterooms. So pretty!
Beautiful artwork in the rooms and around the ship. Cool welcome gifts!
After wore our swimsuits to the muster drill, so we could check out the AquaMouse after it was over. They they were having technical problems, so we left and went to the pools instead.
Hudson checking out the splash pad and waterslides.
More fun at the splash pad. Hudson with his wristband, showing he was tall enough to ride the Aquamouse, even though we didn't get to go. We've been measuring him for months to see if he would get up to 42 inches, the height required to ride the Aquamouse, and he did!
Our first night, we went to the new Coco Restaurant for dinner. It was awesome! We were seated right next to the stage! Plus, our assistant server (Nico) was from Argentina, so he could speak Spanish to the boys (we wanted them to practice their Spanish). We also found out our stateroom host Jesus, was from Peru, who spoke Spanish to the kids as well. It was awesome!
Dinner entertainment! So fun! The details in the restaurant, like all over the ship, were incredible (plates, placemats, bowls, menus, etc).
Even the dessert was decorated; amazing! Sign going into Coco, and the ofrenda in the restaurant (like in the movie). It was an amazing restaurant!
We then went out on deck and enjoyed the sunset. It was just a little windy ;)
We then went down to the play. Amazing murals/art work all over the ship!
Our cute towel animal and Dove chocolates. We then went and explored the ship a little more before bedtime. We checked out the sweet shop, though we didn't buy anything.
It was an amazing, and magical 1st day on the ship! It's a beautiful ship. We were excited to go explore it more the next day!
