3rd Week of March
Here are some highlights from the 3rd week of March.
On Monday, March 14th we had our entire roof taken off and completely replaced. They were at our house by 6:30am, and started by 7am. It's an understatement to stay it was noisy. Thankfully I blocked out most of my calendar so I didn't have many formal appointments. I had 2 in the afternoon and they were almost done, plus the clients were understanding. The noises were pretty loud at times. It felt like you were in a war zone or something. It made us all a little tense, including Piper. We were really happy though they were able to get it all done in a day and we didn't have to deal with it any longer. Ironically Hudson slept through the noise and actually took his naps.
Taking off our old roof, which was over 30 years old. Steve counted they had 8 men working on our roof at one time. The rest of the time they had 6 men working on it.
Making good progress.
Just about done.
On Tuesday, we had people come and replace our rain gutters as well.
Carter drew this truck. Good work Carter! Good quotes.
Our new activity to do during my lunch break is to go blow bubbles w/ Carter and Hudson. They LOVE it! They enjoy going down the slide as well. More of our Crocuses are in bloom again!
Hudson found a new "pooping corner" between the couches. Great quote.
Cool moon above the mountains. Hudson playing w/ Steve's shoes.
Hudson playing w/ the chainsaw. Good quotes. Blowing bubbles again. Hudson is getting it!
Carter and Hudson playing in the sandbox.
Hudson figured out how to pull out the vacuum cord. More Crocuses!
St. Patrick's Day fun: the boys had green pancakes for breakfast, then the boys had fun activities during school, including making rainbows.
Piper waiting outside our bedroom while I work. She likes to join me in our room, especially in the afternoon when the sunshine is coming in. Yep, more beautiful Crocuses. Carter made a treasure map during preschool. Good work!
Thursday night I went over to Pauline's house to visit w/ her, Barbara (who came down), and Rose. It was great to see them all and visit for a while.
Friday afternoon, I got off work a little early so we decided to go on an adventure up in Ogden. We were debating if we had time to stop by the Hill Aerospace Museum since it closed at 4pm, but we decided to go, even for 35 minutes. Ironically right as we got off the freeway there was an accident. Soon we could see a firetruck and ambulances coming up the freeway, since the museum is right next to the freeway. We were thankful we decided to get off and go through the museum. It definitely makes you think we could have been in the accident had we not gotten off.
We were all amazed how BIG the planes were!
It was really neat to see the different planes from history. We didn't have much time, so we'll have to go back another time. Thankfully it's a free museum so we can go anytime.
We then went on the side road around the accident, which was still backing up traffic. We then went over to the Ogden Nature Center. The boys earned some free passes by reading, so we decided to go. It closed at 5pm, so we also only had 30 minutes, but it was still fun.
We went over to the observation tower and saw different birds. They also had Golden Eagles to see, which was neat.
They had cool birdhouses along the path too that people made. Plus other spots to see different animal life. We saw mostly birds. It was great to get out and see something new.
Cute Hudson sleeping w/ his legs between the bars of his crib, then up on them.
Sunday we had dinner w/ LuDean and Diane. Diane helped the boys make St. Patrick Day magnets (the week before actually). Thanks Diane! We played a game then stopped by Dave/Joann's to drop off a few things. Carter wasn't feeling well, so Dave helped Steve give him a blessing. Earlier, Hudson thought it was funny to take my shoes.
