3rd Week of September

Here are some highlights from the 3rd week of September.

Nyles' class and most of his whole school from Altara, went up Millcreek Canyon to Camp Tracy for a field trip.  They did a bunch of fun activities.  Nyles had a great time.

Cool Hudson w/ sunglasses on.  Hudson is learning to balance more, such as on his car.
The boys helped me complete a 1000 piece donut puzzle in just a couple days.

On Wednesday we had a department meeting for 1 hour, then they told us to go do something fun.  We decided to go hike up Donut Falls.  We were inspired from the donut puzzle :)

It was fantastic!  The weather was beautiful and it wasn't very busy on a Wednesday afternoon.

After looking at the falls (if you can call it that, more of a stream), Nyles found a hidden box.  It's part of a GPS game, so we put it back.  They thought it was pretty cool to find though.

We even saw a cute little squirrel on the way back.  The leaves are also starting to change to fall colors.

We made it back in just over 1 hour.  Not bad w/ kids.  We weren't in a hurry, just enjoying the beautiful scenery around us.  It was awesome!  I'm so thankful to have such beautiful places so close to us.

Friday evening we went to the point of the mountain up to the Utah Flight Park.  We can see the hang-gliders from our house and on the freeway, but we wanted to get a closer look.  It was pretty neat to see them up close and watch them go off the mountain and back.

Steve has been working on the boat.  He bent some aluminum for a stand for the lights, then figured out how to wire the lights.  He even put in a panel switch.  Pretty impressive.

The lights works!  He had to show Rob his work.

Baby Hudson is getting more confident at standing up, especially in his crib.
We have some beautiful flowers in bloom here in the fall, which I love!

Baby Hudson playing w/ a sword.  Saturday morning Steve and Nyles went over to the Wetland Park to help w/ our stake service project.  They helped cut down the reeds (an invasive species).  Nyles did a great job helping until he stepped on a sharp stick that went into his foot, so they had to stop.

Saturday afternoon we went out to Gardner Village to find the witches.
We made good time and were done w/in 30 minutes.

The boys love to find all the silly witches.  We went over to Winco afterwards to get pumpkins (our tradition), but they didn't have any!  So we grabbed a few groceries then left.  We'll have to go back another time.  We also stopped at Savers and found Carter a Halloween Costume, Spiderman.

On Sunday we went to the park for a little bit, which was great.

Great quotes.
