1st Week of May - 8th Week of Quarantine

They first week of May we had some beautiful weather.  We're taking it day by day, but trying to make the most of the quarantine situation.  Here are some highlights.

We finally ordered a new modem and a new wifi system in order to get better internet throughout the house w/out being wired in.  This way I can work upstairs, Nyles can do homework in the dining room, and we can have access in the living room.  Steve's brother Jeff came and helped us set it up.  Thanks so much Jeff!

Steve went over to help Chris/Pauline install lights, switches and outlets in their basement they're finishing.  Steve taught Chris how to do the electrical.

I opened our bedroom window to let some air in and the wind picked up and it fell over and broke.  Thankfully it was only 1 of the 3 panes in the window.  We are contacting the window company we got it from to get it replaced.  Thankfully they're lifetime guaranteed.

 Friday night we decided to go up to the cabin.  The boys were just a little excited to go there! 
We took Piper w/ us too.

The next morning the boys wanted to try the BB guns w/ Grandpa.

Nyles and Carter just sitting on a rock.  Nyles was so excited to finally get his Sprucewood sweatshirt.  He ordered it back in March and paid for it with his own money.  Thankfully we went up to the cabin where it's cooler so he could wear it w/out dying from heat!

We then packed up and headed home.  Carter was out pretty quickly!

After we got home the boys worked on painting our pinatas.

I LOVE all the pretty colors of our Irises.  We have a LOT in the yard, both front and back..  

I'm so excited!

Pauline and family came over for some tacos for Cinco de Mayo.  The kids then took turns trying to smash the pinata. Steve decorated this one w/ spray paint, w/ the boys help of course.

I hope everyone had a very special Mother's Day.  I'm so thankful for my mom and all she's done for me and our family.  We're also grateful for Joann and our grandmas.  We love them so much!
