4th Week of April

Well we finished up April.  It was a busy month.  I've been busy w/ my new position.  It's been very helpful to have my laptop, not only to work from home a couple days a week, but also bring it home to finish up things.  Though I don't like to take work home w/ me, at least I can run home and spend time w/ the kids, then after their in bed finish up things instead of staying late at work. 

Steve finished up his finals on April 29th.  He worked hard and did really well.  His lowest grade was an A-.  He starts back up on Monday, but at least during the Summer he only has to do 2 days of clinical rotations instead of 3.  Plus he only has online classes instead of having to go to the campus.  We're excited to have some time together this Summer.  In the Fall he'll have to do 4 days a week for clinical rotations so it'll be busy.

On Friday, April 26th Steve and the young men from the ward headed out to another camp out at the Little Saharah Desert (about 1.5 hours away).  Nyles is always asking to go w/ Steve on his young men's activities, so this time Steve said he could go.  His friend Rob also went.

We got back to the house just in time.  As soon as we got inside it started hailing.

While it was raining and hailing we read the library books and spent time together.

Carter fell asleep that afternoon, silly kid.

When the guys got back I had them send a text code for a coupon at Lowe's.  Rob got one that was for $100.  He said he didn't want it to so he gave it to us.  We then went to Lowe's and got a fire pit and 14 bags of mulch.  After the coupon it only cost us $6, sweet!  That night we made a little fire to try out our new fire pit.  We roasted hot dogs and made s'mores.  It was a little fun!  We're excited to try it out more this Summer!

And then it snowed the last day of April.  Spring might show up here one day...

We're excited for May and warmer weather.  Nyles is almost done with 1st grade and we just signed up Carter for Preschool in the Fall.  I need to take more vacation days, since only 1 week can be rolled over, so we're trying to see when and where we'd like to go.  Here's to a happy Summer!
