Rest of January

The rest of the month of January went by pretty quickly.  I've been enjoying working from home 2 days a week and Steve has been enjoying his clinical rotations.

Cute Carter fell asleep on the couch.

The boys thought it would be funny to put a towel on Steve's head.

Silly boys.

We made some blueberry banana oatmeal muffins, yummy!

On Saturday January 26th, Steve went w/ the young men to Rockport Reservoir to ice fish.  They all had a great time, other than the fish weren't biting.  Dave and Rob went with them too.

The young men excited to be out ice fishing.

On Sunday after church, we wanted to get outside for a little bit, so we went to the park.  The sun was shinning, but it was still a cold outside.  Carter and Nyles enjoying the swings.

Cute Carter putting on my slippers and at the dentist office.  He did REALLY good this time.

Carter fell asleep again one afternoon.  Nyles made a pumpkin of 100 pieces of cereal for their 100th day of school.  He first counted out 100 pieces of cereal, then I helped him glued them to construction paper, then we glued it to his paper which he turned in.

Nyles did a great job!

That Sunday Steve and I gave talks in sacrament meeting.  We were asked to talk about how we can "Follow Christ."  It was a broad topic but we both were able to give talks on different aspects of the topic.

Dallin H Oaks said, “Following Christ is not a casual or occasional practice but a continuous commitment and way of life that applies at all times and in all places.”

Rex D. Pinegar said, “Perhaps the greatest of Christian acts are those we never hear about. They are deeds done quietly, spontaneously, anonymously, without expectation of recognition or compensation. Christian acts begin with Christlike thoughts in our hearts. Then, Christ’s teachings and His characteristics will be reflected naturally in our actions. Soon, there will be more friendly smiles, more kindly words, more courteous responses from us—all seemingly small, insignificant acts, yet they can have a great impact in all our lives.”
