We got some snow the day after Christmas. The boys were pretty excited!

We then went sledding by our house. Nyles going down on his sled. Now all together.

Steve pulled up the last of our carrots from our garden, yummy!
Now over to Cabela's and the boys had to do some pretend shooting.
Carter was having so much fun he didn't want to put the gun down. We finally decided to get rid of the cow wallpaper downstairs by painting/beadboard (more pics next).
Steve talked me into going ice fishing, so we went up on to Echo Reservoir the Saturday after Christmas w/ the boys. It was SUPER busy, but we still had a great time together. It was 6 degrees outside but after getting the ice shanty up and the heater going, it was 60 degrees inside. I kept the boys happy w/ snacks while Steve handled the fishing gear.
Steve drilling holes in the ice so we could ice fish.
With the ice shanty around us, we started to warm up.

Cute Carter eating a snack.
It's a little eerie as you make it dark inside, the water glows beneath you. We had multiple hits from the fish, but couldn't reel them in. We then switch to a new location and ironically I was the only one to reel in a little perch.
Nyles and Carter w/ the cute little perch I caught.
We didn't get many more bites, so we packed it up after a couple hours.
We all had a good time though, and most important we were together.

Carters growing up so fast, having a mustache and big feet :)
We went up to visit our friends Dave and Melissa Thomas in Woods Cross on New Year's Eve. We had dinner together, played a quick game of "Telestrations" and let the kids play. It was so fun so see them again and catch up. Thanks Dave and Melissa!
Carter's new monkey pjs. Carter loves "babies" and wanted to hold baby Tessa.
Dave reading a story to Piper, Calvin, Nyles and Carter.
It was the kids' bedtime shortly after, so we headed home and put our kids to bed. Steve and I weren't planning to stay up, but we ironically stayed up until midnight and wished each other a Happy New Year. There were LOTS of fireworks going on around us across the valley, which we were able to watch from our bedroom window. Thankfully the kids slept right through it. We had a wonderful 2018 and are looking forward to what 2019 brings us. Happy New Year to all!!!
