Easter Part 1

For Easter Weekend we went up to my parent's place in Idaho.  I had Good Friday off  (the 18th) so we left that morning.  Nyles did good after the first little bit (he was ready for his nap by this time).  He took a 1/2 hour nap then was back awake playing on the way up.  We stopped in Burley to pick up a part for Nyles, got gas in Jerome and took a potty break, and were back on the road.  We made it to my parent's place by 1pm.  Dad was anxious to show us his new pontoon boat so he pulled it up by the house.  Steve helped him set up his down rigger and a few other things, then they left a little while later to go fishing.  They stayed out until dark of course.  Pauline and Chris showed up about dinner time.

The next morning Pauline took her kids to the Bruneau Easter Egg Hunt.  I was thinking of taking Nyles but he desperately needed a nap at that time, so instead he took a nap.  He ended up sleeping over 2 hours!  I'm sure we'll make it next year ;)  Just before he woke up Daron, Barbara and Anna showed up w/ their families.  Dad and Steve took the boat out again in the morning to fish again.  This time they took Elaine and Rick also.  They caught some fish so I think they had a good time.

We had lunch out in dad's big shop again so we could get away from the wind, then had our annual Easter Egg Hunt.  We had the older kids on one side close to the shop, and the younger kids on the lawn.  Nyles thought it was fun to pick up eggs and candy, but wasn't in a hurry to do so.  He wanted to explore every piece he picked up, so we had to help him a little.  After the egg hunt we played some more, and Nyles took another nap.  The guys went out and shot clay pigeons for a while as well.  It was fun seeing everyone and visiting.

Dad's dog thought it was fun to play w/ this lid.
He kept bringing it to people to throw it then would go get it and bring it back again.  It was really chewed up and slobbered on needless to say.

Just before dinner dad took his boat out again and gave the kids a ride.  Nyles thought it was really fun as did all the other kids.  The lake was beautiful and there was surprisingly no wind, so it was perfect.

After dinner we had our annual Easter Sack hunt on the farm.  Everyone gets to find one Easter Sack w/ goodies in it.  They were hid on the machinery and around dad's shop.  Some of them were hid pretty good but we managed to find them all.

We stayed until after church and lunch on Sunday, then headed home.  We stopped to say goodbye to Grandma VaLere for 10 minutes and Nyles was asleep when I got back in the car.  He slept for a hour and a half so that was great.  We only stopped once to go to the bathroom so we made good time.  It was great seeing everyone!  Until next time ..... ;)

Steve and I wanted to say thanks to everyone for your cooperation and patience with us in Nyles allergy. We know it's not easy but we really appreciate the love and support we've received. Hopefully in few years we won't have to do this, but until then we appreciate all you're doing to make it safe for Nyles. Thank you again.

Love ya lots,
Steve, Penny and Nyles :)
