1st week of March

Here are some highlights from the 1st week of March.  We're thankful for the warm weather days which allow us to get outside a little more.

Hudson and Carter playing on the trampoline (Hudson trying to walk while on the trampoline).  Carter loves it when Piper comes up on his bed to say good night at bedtime.  Steve lets Carter and Hudson play at the school playground waiting for Nyles to get out of school.

We've had some really nice weather.  Steve and Dave took the boys fishing after school one day.
They had a great time and caught a few fish.

Hudson soaking up the sun.  Dave helping Carter get a fish on!

Yeah our Crocuses are blooming!  We planted them the year before.  I love these flowers since they are the first to bloom after winter.  It reminds me that Spring is on it's way, though we'll get snow again.

Hudson playing in the sandbox.  Hudson and Carter hiding behind the couch.  Nyles got a book from the book fair with his own money.  It's a journal w/ a key.  We had Parent-Teacher Conference for Nyles this past week.  He's making great progress and is a hard worker.  We're proud of him!

Hudson's moves while sleeping.

Great reminder.  Piper licking Nyles' feet since there was lotion on them.  Silly Piper!  Then we got a little more snow again.  Warm again, then snow, repeat.  Typical Spring in Utah right ;)

Sunday, we had family dinner get together.  We had it at LuDean/Diane's place.  Steve, Nyles, and Carter went over on Saturday to help set up.  It was decorated wonderfully for St. Patrick's Day.  We had hamburgers for dinner, then played a fun game.

The kids playing in the hallway.

Taking turns playing the game.  LuDean helped also!  It was a lot of fun, thanks everyone!

Great quote.

Last week of February

Here are some highlights from the last week of February.  The weather keeps going back and forth.  It'll warm up, then it snows.  Warms up, then it snow.  We definitely need the moisture, so no complaints.  It's just funny in that one day the boys are in shorts and t-shirts, the next they want hot chocolate :)

Hudson had his 18 months Dr. Appointment.  For height he was 2'8" (31%), for weight he was 24lbs 5 oz (28%), and head circumference he was 19.4 inches (85%).  Yep he has a cute round head, which sometimes makes it hard to get his shirts on :)

We got a little more snow.

Hudson walking more.

Nyles made chocolate covered strawberries during his Primary Activity.  He did a great job; they were yummy!  Cute baby Hudson loves to cuddle w/ his blankies.

My Tulips that Steve and the boys gave me for my birthday are blooming!  Hudson eating his toes.  Piper found the green bone my mom gave us.  She used it as a toy w/ her boy scouts, but Piper recognized it as a dog toy right away.  She is too smart!  Now she can't stop playing w/ it!

Nyles and Carter earning another stripe on their belts.  They're working hard!

We went to Scheels again for a quick ride on the Ferris Wheel and the boys played w/ the laser guns.

Another time at Martial Arts; Nyles trying to get the other person off w/ a pool noodle.

Great quote.  Fidelity sent us all soft, warm blankets.  They are so soft!
Hudson LOVES to play in water, so naturally he LOVES bath time!

We went over to a school to play on the playground.  They are the Draper Dragons :)
My Tulips are opening up!  Hudson eating his toes again.  Silly kid.

Steve took the boys fishing after school one day when the weather was warm.  They caught quite a few and kept some.  Nyles likes Steve to cook them up w/ a cracker crust.  Hudson even eats it!

Hudson will go to bed at night no problem, but during the day, 90% of the time he wants to sleep in his car seat for his nap.  So eventually he ends up in it.  He's so silly, but so cute!
Great quotes.  The Lord is mindful of us and knows what is best for us in the long run, even though we don't understand at the moment why things are as they are.

3rd week of February

Here are some highlights from the 3rd week of February.

On Monday, February 14th, the boys woke up to a scavenger hunt to find some treats before school.  They thought it was pretty fun.  The next day we played outside a little.  Nyles decided to multi-task by jumping on the trampoline while driving his monster car.  Silly kid!  Hudson throwing the ball for Piper, then playing in the sandbox.  He likes to pour the sand on him as much as put it in the truck.

Then we got a little snow the next day.

We have our first flowers this Spring; cute Crocuses!  Silly Hudson likes to take my water bottles and straws.  Hudson also wanted to climb on the bench after dinner, so we turned it around so he couldn't fall off.  Nyles and Carter joined him as well.

Thursday, after the boys were done w/ Martial Arts, we grabbed some dinner then went over to Scheels for a free ride on the Ferris Wheel.

They also got to shoot the laser guns for free!

Friday, I worked a half day and Nyles and Carter had school in the morning.  Then we packed up and headed up to my parent's place in Idaho.  We left around 2pm and got up there just before 7pm.  Thankfully Hudson took a nap and did great the whole way up.  Carter did a puzzle w/ my dad before going to bed as well.  Good work!

The next morning the boys had to see and hold the cute little puppies!  They are so precious!
Hudson liked to swing on my mom's walking bars as well.

Hudson then hanging on the railing outside.  Cute puppies playing.  Carter loves to snuggle w/ them!

Steve and the boys went out fishing that morning w/ my dad.  Though it was calm at the house, when they got over to the lake it was windy and cold.  They tried catching fish, but didn't get any.  The boys hid under the blanket to stay warm on the way out and back.

Later Steve taking Hudson on a walk around the place.  Playing w/ the puppies more.

Going for a motorcycle ride w/ Grandpa.  Cute puppies playing.  Hudson LOVES to sweep!

The boys went back to the lake, this time at the Dam side, and met Mark Gasper to fish again.
Nyles caught one fish, but they lost it while netting it.  They had a good time though.

Hudson taking a nap in his car seat in the pack-n-play.
Nyles holding the cute puppy.  Cute puppies playing more.

Carter getting loved by the puppies!

We had Stake Conference, so we watched it at my parent's place while they went to church.  Hudson took a nap as well.  The boys and I listened to the Friend to Friend broadcast before Stake Conference started.  Carter drew a picture during it.  Hudson sweeping more.  That afternoon Barbara and her whole family came over to visit.  She brought some Oreos, which Hudson thought were great!  Thanks for sharing Barb!  It was great to spend time w/ Barb and her family.  It's been a while for sure.

Barbara brought their new puppy Coco, which Carter of course had to hold.  Me trying to get Hudson to walk to me, but he picked his nose instead, haha.  Me holding a cute puppy.

Monday morning we headed out after breakfast.  My dad left earlier that morning to go to the chiropractor, so we told him "see ya later" the night before.  We had a wonderful time visiting w/ Mom and Dad.  We of course played a few games and had a few good laughs.  Thanks for everything!
We stopped by Grandma and Dan Crane's place in Burley on our way home.  Grandma had a lot of mail piling up back on the farm, so we brought it to her as well.  It was great to see her and Dan and visit for a little while.

Rob was nice and stayed at our place w/ Piper while we were gone over the weekend.  Piper was so excited to see us when we got home though!  We got some snow, but thankfully the roads were good.  My Tulips, that the boys and Steve got for me for my birthday, are starting to bloom!  They're so pretty!

Great quotes.

2nd Week of February, my birthday!

We had a fun 2nd week of February; my birthday week!  Here are some highlights.

Cute Hudson likes Danimals.  He's also getting good at climbing on things, including our oven!  He sure knows how to keep you on your toes and scare you!

I went to return something to Amazon at Kohls and got a free $5 coupon.  After returning the item I decided to look around.  I thought we could use a new hand towel.  I saw some B1G1, but then I saw a spot of up to 80% clearance.  I found a bundle of towels but couldn't find the price tag, so I went to check the price at the scanner.  It wasn't working so I found an employee close by.  He couldn't find it either, so he said, "how about $5?"  I said sure.  He said if anyone asks tell them the manager Daniel said so.  I then proceeded to the cash register to check out.  Ironically she was able to find a tag (though neither me nor the manager were able to).  The price tag said originally $100 for the bundle, then it was 60% off, so $40 now.  She didn't believe me when I told her the manager said it was $5 so she called him.  He confirmed it, so it rung up $5 and I used the $5 coupon, so it was 100% FREE!!!  So I got a bath towel, a hand towel, and 2 wash clothes, all for FREE!  Sweet!

Great quote.  The towels I got for free.  Funny Valentines!

Steve, Dave and Nyles went to Scheels for a free fishing class.  A speaker taught them more about how to fish Utah Lake.  They had 3 door prizes of $25 gift cards, and Dave and Nyles won 2 of them!  Nyles was only a little excited about it!  The next day Nyles had a Primary Activity w/ the Elders at the church.  They made paper airplanes and had a great time!

Nyles couldn't stand having his gift card very long, so they went back to Scheels and found something to buy.  He split it w/ Carter, since he wasn't able to go.  Nyles got a new fishing reel and Carter got a stuffed animal T-Rex.

Hudson taking more steps.

I took off Thursday and Friday for my birthday!  After dropping Nyles and Carter to school, then came back home.  We then put Hudson down for a nap.  Dave and Joann then came over and we were able to go to the temple.  We were able to do sealing.  It was great!  Steve and the boys also decorated for my birthday!  They got me pretty tulips that you enjoy indoors first then can plant outdoors later, plus popcorn!  2 of my most favorite things!

After we got back from the temple, Steve went and picked up Carter from preschool.  Then later that afternoon we picked up Nyles.  Carter and Hudson played for a few minutes while we waited for Nyles to come out from school.  Cute Hudson w/ my sunglasses on.

Hudson wanted to play outside while Nyles and Carter were at Martial Arts, so we played in the sandbox.  We still had a little snow and he couldn't resist touching it.  It was pretty cold!

Hudson driving a truck and making noises.

On my birthday night we ordered Texas Roadhouse for dinner!  The boys then helped light and blow out my candle (free cupcake from Sam's Club).

Friday afternoon Steve, Dave, Nyles and Carter went fishing, while I stayed home w/ Hudson so he could take a nap.  Dave then volunteered to take the Nyles and Carter so we could go out to eat or something, in celebration of my birthday.  Steve and I headed out to go get dinner at Moochies when we got a call from Diane asking for Steve's help w/ a toilet.  We were already headed out so we said sure.  Well, when we got inside, they said "Surprise!"   Dave and Joann brought over Nyles and Carter and parked a few houses down so we didn't even notice their truck.  They were so sneaky!  We had pizza and cake and ice cream, and even played a fun game from Aunt Diane.  It was a lot of fun!! Thanks so much for putting it on; I loved it! :)
On Saturday, Pauline and Rose and their families came over for dinner as well.
It was great seeing everyone and we even played a game of Blank Slate; so fun!
The Tulips from Steve and the boys, flowers from Pauline and candle from Rose.  Thanks!

We did more science experiments and made sugar crystals.
This one took a week, but it was still fun to watch it "grow" over time.

Sunday we took dinner over to LuDean and Diane.  We made Chinese food and played Blank Slate.  Carter even wrote down answers w/ Diane's help.  Carter and Hudson snuggling w/ Aunt Diane.
