2nd Week of February

The 2nd week of February was a lot of fun of course because it was my birthday week!  I took my birthday (Wednesday) off of work.  We went to the chiropractor, the car wash, and over to Winco for some spices.  That night Steve and I also started our online/Zoom "Emotional Resilience" class offered by our stake.  Then on Thursday nights we have our stake online/Zoom "Emergency Preparedness" class.  It's great being able to learn from these classes, especially from the comfort or our own home.

Here are some of the week's highlights.

Cute Hudson.  One minutes he's awake, the next he's asleep, and vise versa.

Nyles and Carter playing in the dirt w/ their trucks.

Cute Hudson grabbing his toes while nursing.  He likes to multi-task. :)

Hudson likes to grab Steve's hair, just like his brothers did.

Carter building w/ Magnets.

More building from Carter w/ his silly face of course.  Cute Hudson.

We got a little snow on my birthday.

A neighbor brought me some flowers for my birthday.  So pretty.

Another neighbor brought over a huge cookie, which we had for dessert that night.

Singing Happy Birthday.
Thanks for all the birthday wishes and making me feel loved on my birthday!

The boys put together tick-tac-toe boxes from Home Depot.

The boys jumping on the trampoline (no jackets, silly boys).

The boys celebrated Valentine's Day at school on Thursday the 11th.  Carter decorated a bag at school, and Nyles used his MineCraft treasure chest from last year (different school why not).

Nyles also got to dress up for a "Sock Hop" at school.  They did some dancing too.
The boys in his class: Lincoln, Nyles, Owen and Esrael.

The boys again: Esrael, Lincoln, Nyles, Dillion (from the other class), and Owen.

His class at school, the Blue class.

Carter loves getting licks from Piper.

My cute 3 sons. :)  The boys wanted to take turns holding Hudson.

Friday night we went over to LuDean's to have dinner together for my birthday.
Cute boys on our way over.

Carter and Nyles ready to sing Happy Birthday after playing a matching game.

Grandpa Dave w/ Nyles in St. Patrick's day attire a month early why not?

Blowing out the candles w/ a plate.

Cute/thoughtful posters that Diane made for my birthday party.  Thanks for the fun Diane!

Birthday cards from Dave/Joann and LuDean.

Very thoughtful card from my mom.

Suckers big and small.

The boys just playing in the tent w/ their monkeys.

Cute Carter sleeping w/ all his stuffed animals.

And we got a little more snow on Sunday.

Nyles putting the hat on Hudson, then Hudson playing w/ Nyles' hair.  We made heart shaped pizzas for Valentine's Day on Sunday, then the boys went out and played in the snow.

We also did another family Zoom meeting Sunday night and played the game Blank Slate.  Rose and her girls, Pauline's family, Mom/Dad, Dexter and Sage, Barb and Abby and Steve and I all played.  It was a lot of fun!  I'm glad we can still play games together even though we can't get together physically.

This week in our Emotional Resilience class we made a goal to write down one thing we are grateful for every day.  Here are some great quotes about gratitude.

1st Week of February

The first week of February went well.  I've been busy at work and in training the whole week.  In between trainings and appointments, I've still been able to nurse Hudson and visit w/ Carter and Steve a little.  Since Hudson was born back in August, I started reading the Harry Potter books again for fun.  I started w/ the hard copy books, some of which we own.  But as the series goes, the books get bigger w/ more pages, and Hudson has also gotten bigger and more wiggly, so it's been difficult to hold a book in my hand.  I mentioned this to Pauline in December, and she said I should borrow library books digitally.  So since then I've done that and have read the books on my phone while nursing.  Needless to say it's gone a lot quicker too.  I just got done with ALL 7 HARRY POTTER books!  They were fun to read again.  The first time I read the 1st book I was in the 8th grade in 1998, and I read the last book after my mission in 2007.  They're still really good, if not better than the first time I read them.

Steve and I also signed up to take the Emergency Preparedness Class that our stake if offering.  We can finally take it since they're doing it via Zoom this time.  It's at 7pm on Thursdays, so after I get Hudson to bed we let Nyles and Carter play while we watch the class.  We've been working on getting more prepared this past year, especially after the earthquakes we've had the past 2 years and the pandemic happening.  We're also working on teaching the skills to the boys.

Here are some other highlights from last week:

Cute Hudson looking at the camera before falling to bed.

Aunt Diane made Carter a shark blanket.  He wanted one just like Nyles has.  Thanks Diane.  It was so sweet to do that for Carter :)

The boys on blankets Aunt Diane has made: Nyles on his shark blanket, Hudson on the Nemo one, and Carter on his shark blanket.  Piper getting in the blanket w/ Carter.  Carter loves Piper so much!

Playing "Pencil Nose" one night before bed.
We let the boys take turns picking the game, Carter chose this one.

And we got a little snow finally!

Cute Hudson eating his giraffe, his cute smile, and playing on his mat w/ Piper's company.

Hudson has now found his toes!  Such a cutie!

Carter and Nyles went to the dentist this past week.  They LOVE going to the dentist and think it's as fun as going to the candy store!  It's a kids' dentistry and they get to choose a toy/sticker when they're done.  They also let them dress up if they want.  They make it a fun atmosphere and thankfully the boys are excited to go, rather than being afraid and unwilling.  Can't beat that!

Nyles has been working hard in school.  He got 100% on his spelling test.
They also celebrated the 100th day of school last week!

Hudson chewing on the giraffe more, and Steve put Hudson in the laundry basket and carried him upstairs.  He said he was multi-tasking to save time :)

Cute Hudson.  His shirt got stuck on his head haha.

Carter decided that he's ok sleeping in his own room again so we let him.  He got scared last March after the earthquakes we had, and wanted to sleep in Nyles' room.  We even ended up getting bunkbeds for them.  He's done pretty well since going to his own room, though he's woken up a couple times w/ nightmares.  Hopefully he'll get better over time.  I guess if not, he'll got back to Nyles' room :)

Hudson loves to give me kisses (more like slobbers) and hugs, which I love.  I love his cute eyes!  Carter wanted to hold Hudson during our "sacrament meeting."

We had Pauline and her family over for my birthday dinner on Sunday.  I cooked up a turkey for dinner, then we had cake and ice cream.  The kids had fun playing together, even outside.  Every time we get together we see who weighs more, Hudson or Lincoln.  We think Hudson weighs more than Lincoln now by maybe 1 pound.  I'm guessing Hudson is 20lbs and Lincoln is 19lbs.
-Charlotte had fun holding Hudson, blowing out the candles, Lincoln enjoyed playing w/ Piper, Chris trying to see who weighs more Hudson or Lincoln, and more snuggles w/ Hudson.

Good quotes from Uchtdorf.

Last week of January

Well January has come and gone.  Here are some highlights from the last week.

Cute, happy Hudson.  He's getting better at sitting up, holding things, and bringing them to his mouth.  He has such a STRONG grip!  His smile will melt your heart.

Hudson said his 1st word, which is "mom."  He's so cute and says it often.

Of course I can't get enough of it.

Hudson's 1st word.

Hudson is wearing size 6-9 month clothes, though he's 5 months old right now.
He also loves to grab his toes right now, and he loves his brothers.

Nyles likes to help out where he can w/ Hudson.

Cute Carter likes to pretend to be a dog w/ Piper.

Piper decided to join us for bedtime stories one night.  She went and got her bone and "listened."

Cute Hudson bouncing.  He's getting better at using his legs too.

I love his smile!

Steve and the boys went w/ Dave for another dump run.

Nyles playing w/ his stuffed animals, and Carter helping to wash the dishes.

More dishwashing from Carter.

Nyles enjoying the sunshine while playing outside.

Good quotes.
