Rest of October

Before December gets here I need to finish the rest of October.  Here are some highlights.

Nyles and Carter had a lot of fun riding in the Jeep.  We had plenty of warm weather days, so it was nice for the boys to play outside.  Pauline gave us a helmet she had, which fit Carter perfectly.

Carter found a bag of Cheetos left on a chair at Grandmas.

Silly Nyles driving Carter around our circle in the Jeep.

Carter learned quickly to hold on.
Steve put the strap up also to keep him inside, plus they had seat-belts on.

Steve didn't like the pink helmet, so he spray painted it camo colors.

Around to the back patio now.

Nyles giving the neighbor Sophie a ride in the Jeep.
And Carter trying to get into the Jeep when no one was looking.

Cute Carter pretending the thermometer is a phone ;)

Yellow bell peppers we grew in our garden!

Carter wasn't feeling well.  Then one night he woke up crying but you could tell he wasn't breathing very well.  We figured it was probably Croup, so we decided to take him into the ER.  I stayed home w/ Nyles, who was sleeping, while Steve took him in.  Carter definitely had Croup.  They gave him steroids and a breathing treatment.  They were there about 2 hours to make sure it was working, then they came home.  Carter slept much better after going to the ER thankfully.

Poor little guy.  Steve holding Carter while he gets his breathing treatment.

Now making some silly faces trying to pass the time.

Cute boys.

Feeling better a couple days later and now getting a haircut while eating Popsicles.

Cute Carter at cousin Sophia's baptism.
Carter and Nyles eating suckers at church.

Nyles went to Young Men's with Steve.
They went across the street to the Marston's for automotive night.

When Steve lays on the floor Carter likes to attack him!

Carter giving Steve a hug ;)

Carter and Nyles playing in their "nest."

Nyles hiding in Steve's vest.  Carter practicing walking w/ the walker.

Carter thought he should climb into his toy box.  Trying Jell-o Jiglers for the first time.

Steve learning about his lineage at the Family History Center during a YM night.
He said it was really AWESOME; everyone should go!

Nyles helping to rake the leaves.

Carter loves to "doodle."
He also loves whip cream and the song "The Wheels on the Bus."

Carter loves looking out our bedroom windows every morning while I get ready for work.

Carter also figured out how to get up on the fireplace and get the books.

Carter loves dipping his food, especially bread-sticks w/ garlic butter (grosses Steve out since he hates garlic).  Nyles hair on crazy hair day.

Carter makes "vroom" sounds as he pushes trucks around.

Carter getting up on the fireplace again.
He wasn't able to get down though so he'd give us his pouty face.

Steve took the boys to Wheeler Farm to feed the ducks.

Nyles playing w/ Steve's vest again.  Carter climbing up at the Aquarium.

Now going through the tunnel.

Down the slide w/ Nyles and in a submarine (at the Aquarium).

Steve and Nyles playing a little Mine-craft.

It was a fun, busy month!  We're so thankfully for each other and each of you!

Family Fun

Though I was extremely busy studying for my CFP test in the month of October, we still took some time to spend as a family.  It was nice to take a break for a little while and get a breath of fresh air.  Here are some highlights.

One Saturday late afternoon we took a family hike to the Suspension Bridge.  It was a beautiful hike right before sunset.  The views were incredible and the fall colors were amazing!  Heavenly Father has blessed us with the beauty around us.  I'm so thankful to be able to enjoy it.

Steve w/ Carter in the backpack.

Nyles wanted to carry his own backpack as well, silly kid.

Carter thought it was funny to tickle Steve's neck.

Taking a minute to see the view.

Beautiful colors.

We made it to the bridge!  Steve coming w/ Carter.

Trying to get a family picture.

Better.

Someone took a couple pictures for us.

Carter enjoying a snack on the way down.

Pretty sunset.

My cute boys!

And a fruit leather now.

Beautiful view looking back at the bridge.

One more of the sunset.

Steve decided to get Nyles a bat and baseball.  He thought he needed to try new things, other than just duck hunting and fishing.  Nyles has had a lot of fun hitting it in the backyard.  Doesn't hurt to try new things.

One night we went out and played in the backyard.  Nyles hit the baseball w/ Steve and I blew bubbles for Carter to pop.  Carter thought it was so fun to pop them.

Carter even tried to eat the bubbles!

And we went to the park, one of our favorite places to go.
We love feeding the ducks, even though it gets Steve excited about duck hunting.

So many ducks!

Carter thinks they're pretty fun to watch too!

These are the memories we'll have.  It's the simple things in life that many times bring so much joy!  Here are couple other quotes, food for thought.

Fun with Aunt Diane

We went over to visit Aunt Diane and Grandma LuDean and for dinner one Sunday.  After dinner Aunt Diane had a fun Halloween craft for us to do.  We had a lot of fun, thanks Diane!
