Carter was so excited to see Abby again. She came down w/ Barb in October for Summer's wedding and ever since he's been wanting to see her again. He kept saying "Abby, Abby, Abby."

The next day we got ready for Thanksgiving dinner/lunch. Dallin, Calley and Carter eating some Cheetos before dinner, and the dog Zoey trying to get some too.

Family picture. Rose and her girls didn't make it, nor Anna. Anna's boys came, but Anna was at the hospital unfortunately all day. She ended up having a bad cold or something.

We then played our traditional white elephant gift game. Dad started it out by getting some 80's workout DVDs. It was pretty funny.

Ryan came in late to the white elephant game and took away Dad's gift. He thought it was soda since it was in a soda container, but it was the 80's workout DVDs. We all laughed pretty hard.

After games we decided to head down to my parent's house for the night to spend time w/ them. Carter bit his binky the night before at Barb's house and put a hole in it. Ironically we were hoping to "lose" it during our trip up to Idaho, but Carter did it all on his own. It was a little rough for him not to have it, but he's adjusting.
Carter had to ride the 3 wheeler of course.
We brought down our pumpkins for my mom so she could can them. The big ones were from Aunt Marla though. Nyles eating licorice before we headed back on the road.
We decided to head home Friday morning since it was supposed to snow in SLC. It rained the whole time driving home and turned to snow as we got to the Idaho/Utah border. As we got into Utah more it stopped thankfully. We made it home in good time though.

We got snow Saturday morning, but thankfully the snow plows got the roads cleared off. I was able to make it to the Draper Temple to do initiatories. It's always great to be in the Lord's house, even for a short time.
Nyles took a selfie while I was gone on Steve's phone. I love his cute little freckles. :)
We have so much to be thankful for, not just at Thanksgiving time but all year long. I like Elder Uchtdorf talk called "Grateful in Any Circumstances. He said, "I’m suggesting that instead of being thankful for things, we focus on being thankful in our circumstances—whatever they may be. True gratitude is an expression of hope and testimony. It comes from acknowledging that we do not always understand the trials of life but trusting that one day we will." What a great perspective to keep in mind. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and can be grateful in our circumstances, regardless of what they may be.
