Labor Day Weekend

Saturday, September 2nd Steve took the boys up to the cabin for the day.  I was of course home studying, so it was a great opportunity to get the boys out of the house and have some fun.  They fished for a while and caught some, then the kids ended up getting really hot and wanted to jump in the water.  They didn't have their swimsuits of course, so they got in w/ their underwear.  They had a lot of fun swimming, then they got out an inner tube and Dave pulled them around on that for a while.  Steve and Rob brought their boats up also and took the kids on rides in them also.  Everyone had a great time.  Here are some pics.

Carter stayed at the cabin w/ Joann.  He took his naps and played w/ the toys.

Sunday after church, we went up to Silver Lake for a quick family picnic and stroll around the lake.  It was nice to get out of the heat as well.  We've had such a hot summer.  Labor Day was 96 degrees!

Carter eating Cheetos and Steve eating his sandwich.

Nyles being silly, not wanting his picture taken.

After climbing up the big rock he wanted his picture though.
A cute squirrel eating some food on the ground.

Steve, Nyles and Carter on our stroll.

Beautiful view.

We saw 2 big moose, just laying down enjoying the weather.
Nyles walking along the boardwalk.

Carter excited to see the ducks in the lake.  Nyles now running.

 Beautiful lake.

Love this view!

Nyles watering Joann's flowers.  We stopped by on Sunday after our trip up the canyon.

Pretty flowers and green peppers from our garden.

Cute Carter w/ Steve's hat.

The next day, Steve worked w/ our neighbor in the back (the bishop), to rebuild part of the fence that had fallen down in the wind storm earlier.  Steve had repaired it at the time, but it ultimately needed a full redo.

Steve after clearing the old fence.

Now digging the fence posts.

The fence after getting the posts in and the crossbars.

Then a couple days later they came back and put the slats in.

Nyles thought he would help by hitting things w/ the hammer.

All done.  Great work, looks awesome!
