We went up to the cabin again over President's Day Weekend. We took off the Friday before, which happened to be Valentine's Day. Dave, Joann left the same time as we did so we could all help get into the cabin. We stopped in Heber for a bite to eat, get gas and pizza at Papa Murphy's then headed the rest of the way up. After changing into our snow clothes we rode the ATV's w/ some stuff to the cabin and shoveled our way in. There was definitely a lot more snow this time than there was in January.
After we got in we started a fire and turned the space heaters on to warm things up. It was about 37 degrees inside, and outside about 33 degrees. Just as we were getting in Jeff called and said they were at the parking lot ready to come in. Dave and Steve then drove out while we finished putting away our food and whatnot. After everyone got in the cabin the kids played while we put everything else away. We then had pizza for dinner, and got the kids to bed a little while after. We then played a game of "Apples to Apples" then we all went to bed.

The next morning Steve and Dave went down to go ice fishing. Since it was a little warmer outside, the snow was melting on top of the ice so there was puddles in between the snow and the ice. Jeff and Kim and their kids went down and fished a little, then everyone came in for lunch.

We played inside for a while, then went for a ride on the ATVs to take some trash out to the trailer and grab a few things. Nyles was excited to go for a ride again.

After we got back from our ride we thought it would be fun to go sledding. Issac and Cameron were ready to go do something outside also so we asked them to come join us. Soon we were all out there enjoying ourselves. Steve used the ATV to make us a path then we rode down on the toboggans then Dave and Jeff took over the ATVs and helped bring everyone back up at the top. We got the trail going pretty well and had a really fun time!

We made tacos for dinner, let the kids play some more, then put them to bed. After an active day they were all pretty tired. Everyone slept pretty well. We started watching "Hook" that night but turned it off since we were all pretty tired. Just as we were turning it off Dave got a gnarly Charlie Horse which took his breath away and even the color in his face. After sitting down for a while he was good and ready for bed.
We brought a queen side mattress down from the loft and slept on it in front of the fire. The night before Nyles woke up after seeing us and didn't want to go back to bed while we were in there, so we went upstairs and slept on the loft where Jeff and Kim were. We figured this time we would just sleep out by the fire so we could hear him if he woke up and hopefully he wouldn't since we wouldn't be in the room w/ him. All and all everyone slept much better the second night! I hadn't been feeling well the whole week unfortunately and that night I slept pretty horribly. I was congested and coughing and thus didn't feel well in the morning. We had already decided before coming up that we were going to be leaving Sunday after lunch. We told Dave earlier and then Jeff/Kim that morning. Jeff had hurt his back earlier that week and w/ Dave having his sore leg from the Charlie horse we figured it would be best if we all left the same time.
We were in charge of breakfast in the morning. We were planning to make breakfast burritos but we forgot the potatoes, so I improvised and make biscuits and gravy instead. A little while after breakfast we went back out and sledded some more. Since it froze that night, the path was really slick/icy. It made us all go really fast! The wind picked up which wasn't the best, but was still a lot of fun like the day before!

After lunch we packed up and headed out. Since you have to take several loads out it takes a while to get everyone and their stuff out. We had also "un-winterized" the cabin in order to have running water for washing dishes and taking showers so we needed to winterize it again. Alexa was still taking a nap after most stuff was taken out so Steve, Nyles and I headed out a first while the rest waited for her to wake up and winterized the cabin again. All and all it was a really fun trip! Too bad I wasn't feeling well though. After we got home and unpacked I took it easy on the couch. The next day was the same, I was congested and coughing. Thank goodness it was a Holiday and we got to take it easy. Unfortunately the rest of the week I've been still fighting this cold. Steve and Nyles have had a piece of the cold as well. I sure hope we all get better soon! Can't wait for Spring!
