Nassau, Bahamas Day

On Monday, May 11th, we slept in a little since we had been to Nassau a couple of times and didn't have an excursion planned.  We then had breakfast and did a few things, then got off the ship.

We went to meet Goofy first thing.

We decided to just get off the ship for a bit to explore the shops and take a few pictures.

Hudson was done after walking for a little bit, so I took him back to the ship.  

We changed in our swimsuits and played in the splash pad and played mini golf.

After a little bit, the others came and joined us.  

Nyles and Carter bought a hat in Nassau.  Swim time!

We then watched the matinee of Aladdin.  It was awesome!

On Sunday, going to our first dinner rotation, they had 2 doors going into the restaurant.  We went to one (by the stairs we came from and a shorter line) and was told we had to go to the other door to go into the restaurant.  So we went around the corner and there was a HUGE line.  On the first night there is always some confusion as people are trying to get to the right restaurant, so a little bit of a line was expected, but this line was HUGE!  I was pretty frustrated after we got sat down since our table was pretty close to the first door we started at!  I told the maitre d when he stopped by.  He apologized for the inconvenience, realizing that the cast member who was at the door didn't know all the table numbers and figured we were on the other side of the restaurant instead of close to that door we started at.  

Well, when we got to our table the next night, in a different restaurant, we saw these special glasses on the table.  We had told them the night before none of us drink alcohol, so it was perplexing as to what it was for.  Our waiter then came over with some blue sparkling apple juice that was for the group!  The maitre d then stopped by and said they appreciated our patience and understanding with the mix-up the night before and wanted to show their appreciation.  We of course gladly accepted their apology and enjoyed the tasty juice.   They told us that you can't get this juice anywhere else but on the Disney Cruise ships.  I looked it up, it says, "The famous blue sparkling cider on Disney Cruise Line is Cloudem Blue, a non-alcoholic, shimmering apple juice that swirls like pixie dust when poured." So fun!

Earlier, Steve gave a compliment to one of the cast members, and his boss happened to overhear.  He then asked for our room number.  He ended up being the Hotel Director, so for the rest of the cruise, we got surprises in our room, which was so fun!

We had a fun day again, a little on land, and little at sea.  We were excited for the next day going to Lookout Cay for the first time!

Boarding the Ship Day

On Sunday, May 10th, it was finally time to board the ship!  We ate breakfast at our hotel, then caught our shuttle to head to the port.

On the shuttle going over to Port Canaveral (about 1 hour ride).  Hudson took a little nap :)

We made it!  As soon as we got there, we were able to go right through security and check in.  We then waited for our group to be called to board the ship.  Carter did some coloring while we waited.

Once we boarded the Disney Fantasy ship we got some lunch at Cabana's.  We went on the Fantasy 2 years ago, May of 2024.  The boys wanted ice cream of course.

Our rooms were then ready, so we went down to unpack and get settled in.

We then checked out the kid's clubs.  We look at the Teen/Tweens Clubs first.

We had a great first day on the ship!  It's always a fun, busy, yet fast day.  We were excited for the next 4 days on the ship!

Day at Magic Kingdom

We were up early on Saturday, May 9th.  Magic Kingdom opened earlier at 8am on a Saturday, so we wanted to be there right as it opened, which we did.  We were up at 6am to get dressed and eat breakfast, the called a Lyft to take us over to the park (about 30 minutes away).

We made it!  Bubbles as we walk down Main Street and getting a picture in front of the castle.  

We went left in the park first, as it doesn't open for Early Entry, so we were hoping it would be less busy, which it was.  We walked straight onto our first ride, Pirates of the Caribbean.  I had booked our Lightning Lanes 3 days before, so we had a plan to maximize our time.

Riding Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride next at 8:30am.  We used a Lightning Lane for this one just to "tap" in, so we could then "tap" into another Lightning Lane for later.

Then we walked right onto Jungle Cruise.

Then we waited in line for the new Big Thunder Mountain.  It has been closed for 2 years, getting refurbished.  We were all so excited to go on it again.  Hudson was tall enough now to go on it, too!

Unfortunately, the ride shut down for like 15-20 minutes, so we were stuck in one spot w/ the same things going over and over again.  Thankfully, it started moving again, and we were out.  We then went back to Tiana's Place since we had it on a Lightning Lane pass, and we all love that ride!

We got wet, especially the boys.  We had officially completed the left side of the park, so it was now time for lunch!  Pretty flowers in the park.  Then all of us squished into the People Mover.  Silly Carter.

We then did Space Mountain. It was Hudson's first time, as he was finally tall enough to go on it!  

He absolutely loved it!

We also tried the NEW Buzz Lightyear game/ride.  I booked a Lightning Lane for that in our initial choice 3 days before.  It was also refurbished and just reopened.  It is a lot more fun than the old one in that you can move the guns more to shoot, and the color matches your gun so you can tell you actually shot the target.

We then stood in line for 7 Dwarfs.  Steve held Hudson for a while.

We saw a lizard and a squirrel while we were going through the line.  

They do have some interactive things while you go through the line, though.

Crazy enough, we were just rounding the corner and going up the steep hill when the ride stopped!  We thought they were going to get it going again like they did at Haunted Mansion, but nope, they had to evacuate us completely.  They had to unlock every seat and helped us get off the ride.

Nyles in front of Gaston's Tavern.  We took a bathroom break by it.  We had never been to this part of the park.  It was nice and quieter.  Then we tried the Little Mermaid ride for the first time.  Ironically is stopped for like 2 minutes, then started up again.  We were on a roll w/ rides stopping ;)

7 Dwarfs was still shut down for a bit, so the boys decided to go back to Space Mountain, while the girls went back to Buzz Lightyear (they are pretty close to each other, which was nice).

We then did Pirates of the Caribbean one more time w/ a Lightning Lane, then we made our way out.  They had a glow-in-the-dark parade happening as we were working on exiting.

We decided to have him drop us off at Denny's directly, so we didn't have to walk more haha.  

We then walked back to the hotel.  After a quick shower, we all fell quickly asleep.

We had a super fun, long day at Disney World's Magic Kingdom.  It was our 4th time there, but our first on a Saturday.  I was a little worried about it being super busy, but ironically, it wasn't too bad, and we actually had our most productive day there ever!  We started right at 8am and went until about 9pm.  We were able to hit up a few rides twice and used the Lightning Lanes as we went, very efficiently.  We also didn't backtrack much and were able to do sections at a time instead of going back and forth all day.  We're very grateful for people who share "tricks" on how to make your day more productive, as it seems to have worked!  We were super exhausted by the end, but we all had a great time.  The food at Denny's was actually really good and hit the spot!  We were excited for the next day to board the ship!
