Pauline was so kind to come take some pictures of baby Hudson for us. He was 5 days old. Here are the cute pictures she took. Thanks Pauline; you're the best!

Baby Hudson Pictures
4th Week of August - 24th Week of Quarantine (Back to School)
We made it through the end of August! It was a really HOT month at that. We had several days that were over 100 degrees. They said 2020 was actually Salt Lake City's warmest August in 146 years! It sure didn't help being pregnant for most of it also.
August was also a busy eventful month that's for sure. The boys finally started school again in person the last week of August. Nyles started on Monday, August 24th and Carter started the next day on Tuesday the 25th. The kids hadn't been to formal school since Mid-March. They definitely missed their teachers and seeing their classmates. I think they also missed having some time away from mom and dad, and visa versa. It's been good to try and have a "normal" schedule again. Though there is still a lot of unknowns and the risk of Covid is still out there, after praying about it we felt good about sending both boys back to school. We definitely feel by going back it will help their emotional and social health. Plus it will give them a little time away from one another, which helps them appreciate the time they do have together a little more.
Since we knew we were having the baby, we went and took pictures the Sunday before Hudson was born so it would be a little less hectic. Carter is attending Preschool at The Newcastle School 2 days a week, and Nyles is now at Altara for the dual immersion Spanish program. Everyone is asked to wear masks and they sanitize and clean thoroughly. They're a little more relaxed/understanding at the preschool if the kids can't wear their masks the whole time, but luckily Carter has had plenty of practice this Summer, so he doesn't mind and is good at keeping it on the whole time. We are still being careful when going out (masks on), and the kids are playing w/ others. We still need to be careful now that we have Hudson.
