Grand Cayman Day/Pirate Night

On Monday, November 27th we were at Grand Cayman.  We had a private excursion, same one we did last October.  Since it wasn't through Disney, we had to get off the ship as soon as we could, since our excursion was at 9am and we had to tender over to the island (the ship can't get right next to it in order to protect the coral reefs).  We had breakfast at 7am and were downstairs waiting at the Walt Disney Theater (the meeting place for non-Disney excursions), by 7:45am.  We were one of the first ones in line, and thankfully we were cleared pretty quickly and were able to get off the ship in time.

The boys ready to go! Pretty Christmas tree outside of Animator's Palate (dinner place).
Cameron chatting w/ Hudson as we waited outside the theater.

Everyone on the tender boat ready to head over!

After getting off the tender boat, we found our tour guide, then got on a bus to go over to the boat.

Pretty flowers.  On the boat ready for our excursion!

Steve and Hudson enjoying the ride.  Pretty scenery as we went.

Our first stop was to snorkel by a coral reef.  There were so many fish and sting rays!

Next we stopped at Sting Ray City and got to hold the sting rays and give them a kiss.

So fun!  The waves were pretty consistent though, so we had to jump them!

Jeff, Melanie, Carrie, Dave, Stacie and Steve w/ a string ray.
The kids taking turns driving the boat.

Lastly we stopped at a beach w/ starfish.  So cute!

Fun starfish!

Hudson just wanted to dig in the sand of course!

Conor playing peek-a-boo w/ Hudson.  Then taking the bus back.
All 24 of our group barely fit w/ little seats in between the big seats.

When we got back to the pier, the boys bought a little stuffed animal souvenir, then we went back to the ship.

After we got back to the ship, we went and got lunch at Cabanas.
The kids then wanted to swim and get ice cream of course.

Ice cream and swimming!

That night was pirate night, so we dressed accordingly.  Rrrrrrr!

Getting some pictures w/ Chip and Dale in their pirate outfits.

Dinner time!

Rrrr!

Group picture.  Notice Hudson is asleep in between Steve and I.  Silly kid :)

Hudson was pretty exhausted from an eventful day.  He fell asleep at the dinner table.
Our towel animal after dinner.  Hudson woke up for a little bit before bedtime.
