2nd Week of May

Here are some highlights of the 2nd week of May.

Hudson playing at the Aquarium.  He can go up and down all by himself.  Great quote.
I worked from home on Monday since we had a girls' Primary Activity that afternoon.  During lunch we went out and played w/ the hose, trying to get the chalk off.

Hudson and Steve working on getting the chalk off the retaining wall.
Hudson wanted to eat lunch outside under the canopy, which was fun!  I love Spring!

Beautiful flowers in bloom: Petunias, Tulips and our Lilac bush.

Carter and Nyles trying to do a cart-wheel.  I was trying to teach them how.

The Lilac bush is in full bloom and smells wonderful!  So pretty!

The peach tree coming in, our Honey Locust trees, and pear tree also blooming.
Hudson playing in the sand.

Steve took Dave and Hudson down to Utah Lake to fish for White Bass.

They caught a couple fish and put them in a bucket.
Hudson then tried to keep catching them.  They had a great time!

Dave then came over for dinner that night.  Joann and Jeff flew down to Arizona to visit Joann's dad Carl.  Dave brought a Salmon to cook on the smoker.  Rob stopped by as well and helped eat it.  Hudson wanted to try the Salmon, though he didn't like it.  Then Rob convinced him to try the lemon juice, and he REALLY didn't like the lemon juice.  Haha silly kid!
Silly Piper.  Cute Hudson in bed.

Hudson also figured out how to go up our rock wall outside all by himself.
Cool time 11:11 on May 11th.

I had to go into the office the rest of the week.  When I pulled up the trax train times it said there was construction on the Blue Line, so they had a bus to connect around it.  They had a note that there might be a 30 minute delay.  I didn't want to chance being late, so I decided to try the Frontrunner instead.  It's a little further to get to the station, 10-12 minutes vs 3, but the train ride itself is only 30 minutes vs 45.  The Frontrunner is also quieter and cleaner.  It was a really good experience.  I'll see what I do going forward.  It's nice to have options.

The Frontrunner coming.  Ralph, our elf Buddy's assistant, sat next to our new Zelda game.  He wanted to keep on eye on the boys and make sure they behaved themselves.

Pretty lilacs bush.  Cute Hudson w/ a sand bucket on his head, playing in the sandbox.

On Friday, May 12th, Steve took Nyles, his friend Lincoln and his dad Tyler to go fishing.  Rob also went with them.  Dave sat at our house while Hudson was napping, until I could get home from work (thanks!).  Carter played at his friend Colin's place until 5pm as well, then his mom brought him home.  After dinner we went over to the school playground to play.  We had a lot of fun!

Lincoln, Nyles, Tyler and Rob fishing.  They didn't catch many, but still had fun.

Hudson helping mix pancakes.  Our neighbor went up to Logan for the Camp Chef sale.  He ended up getting Rob a smoker and us a camp stove/griddle.  We invited Rob over on Saturday.  Steve helped him put the smoker together, then Steve smoked us and Rob a Papa Murphy's pizza.  They were super yummy.  Then we went to Sam's Club and helped Rob get a pork butt to smoke for Mother's Day.  We also showed him the pellets to buy and a storage container at Sam's.  He then came back to our place and Steve helped him get the pork butt all prepped for the next day.

That evening we went over to the park and played pickleball and played on the playground.

Carter about to go down the slide.  Piper rubbed against Steve's hat and left her hair on him.  She's definitely shedding right now!  Cute Carter on the rock wall.

The ice has finally melted up at Strawberry Reservoir.  Cute Hudson sleeping w/ Mickey Mouse.

Me and the boys on Mother's Day.  The boys coloring pictures and making cards.
The pork butt all done.  It was super yummy!  Thanks Steve!  We had dinner together at LuDean/Diane's.  Most of Steve's family came, which was great!

It was a great Mother's Day.  We are so blessed to have such amazing women in our lives.
I'm so thankful to be Nyles, Carter and Hudson's mom.
They teach me so much and help me learn and grow each day.

1st Week of May

Here are some highlights from the 1st week of May:

Monday we took the boat out and did more Carp shooting.

We didn't shoot any, but it was still fun to get out as a family.  Nyles and I also tried driving the boat.

Beautiful Tulips in bloom in our yard!

Cute Hudson squatting while eating.  Pauline and I went to another Pilates class together.

On Tuesday, Steve took Rob and Zac out to do some Carp shooting as well.  Hudson enjoyed the ride.

On Wednesday after work, we went down to Thanksgiving Point to enjoy the Tulip Festival.
The Tulips were in full bloom and were amazing!

It was a beautiful evening to enjoy in a beautiful garden w/ the family!

Cute Hudson eating an ice cream.  We found out that Carter also has asthma, just like Nyles and Steve.  We are still learning which drug will best help him keep it under control.  Cute Hudson in bed.

We decided to get a security camera outside.  Beautiful pear tree blossoms.  Lilacs starting to bloom.

Dave and Joann stopped by to drop off some Cinco de Mayo decorations.  Hudson catching a ride on Nyles.  Friday night we went and ate at Texas Roadhouse for dinner, yumm!

My parents came down on Saturday to go do an Easter Egg Hunt/Family Gathering w/ my mom's side of the family, the Buhlers.  All 13 of the brothers and sisters were there.  It was a little cool and rained some, but they had a great time.

Oldest to youngest, right to left:
Roy, Brent, Chris, Sheri, Cathleen (mom), Rosanne, Jane, Judy, Connie, Slade, Brad, Ben and Aleesa.

Beautiful Tulip in the front yard.  Sunday during Primary the boys received "dots" as they sang well.  They thought they were fun!  Cute Hudson.  Another cool Tulip in our yard.

My parents came to church w/ us on Sunday, then we had lunch together w/ Rose and Pauline.  We decorated the night before for Cinco de Mayo.  We were hosting our family dinner that night and having tacos.  Pauline wanted to make pork tacos for lunch, so we celebrated all day!

Sombreros all around!  Sophia, Mom, Nyles, Steve, Carter and Dad ready to celebrate!
Mom getting her Mother's Day flowers from Rose.  Cute Piper w/ a sombrero as well!

Quick picture before my mom and dad left.  Rose, Penny, Mom, Hudson and Pauline.
Mom w/ Hudson and Piper w/ decorations.

After my family left, we cleaned up and got ready for Steve's family to come over to dinner.  We ate inside since we were worried about the rain, but it stopped and we were able to go outside afterwards.

Steve doing stick pole contest w/ Stacie and Phill.
Hudson negotiating over Brandon's food and water :)

Cute LuDean all ready to go!  Enjoying our Cinco de Mayo dinner!  Chandler w/ his fiancé Megan.
