1st Week of May

Here are some highlights from the 1st week of May:

Monday we took the boat out and did more Carp shooting.

We didn't shoot any, but it was still fun to get out as a family.  Nyles and I also tried driving the boat.

Beautiful Tulips in bloom in our yard!

Cute Hudson squatting while eating.  Pauline and I went to another Pilates class together.

On Tuesday, Steve took Rob and Zac out to do some Carp shooting as well.  Hudson enjoyed the ride.

On Wednesday after work, we went down to Thanksgiving Point to enjoy the Tulip Festival.
The Tulips were in full bloom and were amazing!

It was a beautiful evening to enjoy in a beautiful garden w/ the family!

Cute Hudson eating an ice cream.  We found out that Carter also has asthma, just like Nyles and Steve.  We are still learning which drug will best help him keep it under control.  Cute Hudson in bed.

We decided to get a security camera outside.  Beautiful pear tree blossoms.  Lilacs starting to bloom.

Dave and Joann stopped by to drop off some Cinco de Mayo decorations.  Hudson catching a ride on Nyles.  Friday night we went and ate at Texas Roadhouse for dinner, yumm!

My parents came down on Saturday to go do an Easter Egg Hunt/Family Gathering w/ my mom's side of the family, the Buhlers.  All 13 of the brothers and sisters were there.  It was a little cool and rained some, but they had a great time.

Oldest to youngest, right to left:
Roy, Brent, Chris, Sheri, Cathleen (mom), Rosanne, Jane, Judy, Connie, Slade, Brad, Ben and Aleesa.

Beautiful Tulip in the front yard.  Sunday during Primary the boys received "dots" as they sang well.  They thought they were fun!  Cute Hudson.  Another cool Tulip in our yard.

My parents came to church w/ us on Sunday, then we had lunch together w/ Rose and Pauline.  We decorated the night before for Cinco de Mayo.  We were hosting our family dinner that night and having tacos.  Pauline wanted to make pork tacos for lunch, so we celebrated all day!

Sombreros all around!  Sophia, Mom, Nyles, Steve, Carter and Dad ready to celebrate!
Mom getting her Mother's Day flowers from Rose.  Cute Piper w/ a sombrero as well!

Quick picture before my mom and dad left.  Rose, Penny, Mom, Hudson and Pauline.
Mom w/ Hudson and Piper w/ decorations.

After my family left, we cleaned up and got ready for Steve's family to come over to dinner.  We ate inside since we were worried about the rain, but it stopped and we were able to go outside afterwards.

Steve doing stick pole contest w/ Stacie and Phill.
Hudson negotiating over Brandon's food and water :)

Cute LuDean all ready to go!  Enjoying our Cinco de Mayo dinner!  Chandler w/ his fiancĂ© Megan.

Last week of April

Here are some highlights from the last week in April:

Piper finding a treat in Carter's shoe and having a hard time getting it out.  Hudson wanted to play in a "fort" on the couch and under the table.  Hudson wanted to play outside w/ the hose even though it wasn't very warm.  He's ready for warmer weather for sure, as we all are!

Beautiful Daffodils in the backyard blooming.  A Hawk came and grabbed a Morning Dove bird out of the pine tree in our neighbor's yard, then shredded it apart.

Cute Hudson sleeping, in his many poses.

Hudson playing w/ Piper.  The sun finally came back and we had warm weather.  Our peach tree, pear tree, and a yellow tulip in bloom finally!  More Daffodils up front in bloom and more playing w/ Piper.

Friday after school, Nyles' friend Lincoln Herd came over to play.  They rode their scooters over to Sprucewood Elementary to play for a while.  We picked them up after I was off work and went to their school, Altara Elementary, for their school carnival.  It was a beautiful day!

Nyles and Lincoln on their way to the school to play.  Hudson and Carter ready to go to the carnival!

They gave out free popcorn and cotton candy.  The boys also played games and got free tokens for a ride on Scheels Ferris wheel. Then we got a burger at a food truck and played on the playground.

We decided to run to Scheels to get a ride on the Ferris wheel after playing.
Hudson pretended to shoot while we rode the Ferris Wheel.

Here we go!

Saturday was another beautiful day.  That morning, we took the boat out for a ride.  Lincoln came w/ us again.  We brought the bow to shoot at the Carp as well.

Nyles and Lincoln taking a turn shooting the Carp.

Steve, our great navigator, then took a turn shooting the Carp.
Hudson just as happy as can be enjoying a sucker and paddling.

Hudson loves wearing his goggles.  Another hot day so Hudson wanted to get the hose out.  He decided to spray Nyles and Carter while playing on the trampoline.  They loved it of course!

3rd Week of April

Here are some highlights from this past week.

Hudson likes to be big helper, such as pretending to air up the car tires.  Pauline and I attended another Pilates classes together; it was great!  Hudson reading a book in bed as he's waking up in the morning.

Steve took Hudson to the Aquarium while the boys were at school.  He had a blast!

Steve picked up chocolate donuts for the boys Friday morning.  Hudson thoroughly enjoyed his!

Nyles had a birthday swim party Saturday from noon to 2pm at the Rec Center.  Carter wanted to go also, so he swam as well on his own.  They even let Carter have some pizza w/ the group :)

After they got back from the swim birthday party, we changed and went to the Saratoga Springs Temple Open House.  We met Pauline and Rose and their families there.  It was beautiful!

Family pics. Hudson smelling the pretty flowers outside of the temple.

We then went over to Pauline's house for dinner.  Steve smoked 2 briskets for us.  He started Friday night, cooked it all through the night, and finished just before we left.  It then "rested" in the car in our cooler while we traveled and went through the temple.

The briskets.  Steve being silly.  Pauline, Rose and I after dinner at Pauline's house.

Sunday, Nyles gave a talk in Primary.  He did a great job.  Nyles w/ one if his favorite books, wearing his poncho.  Steve smoked "shot-gun shells" and chicken wings for dinner on Sunday.  We had the Thomas' and Millwards over for dinner.  It was a nice day, so we ate outside.  It was great to catch up.  We all lived in the condos/went to the branch in Midvale then moved after we each had our first kids.

2nd Week of April

Here are a few highlights from the 2nd week of April.  I went into the office the whole week, taking the train.  It's not my favorite, and it's taking getting used to again, but we're trying to stay positive.

The sun was finally shinning outside.  Steve took the boys to the park after school.

Such a beautiful day!  Hudson wanted to play outside in the water of course.
Later playing as he was waking up in the morning.

Steve had his parents over for dinner on Monday.  He smoked some pork loin.  Good work Steve!
Our Daffodils are in bloom!  They make me happy :)  After dinner we played some games.

It's just barely starting to warm up, so we have a LOT of snow/ice that needs to melt.
It might be a while before we can access certain lakes and mountain areas.

Hudson wanted to talk to me while coming home on the train one day.  Steve and I were able to split up and do initiatories.  More snow/ice reports.

Nyles got an award at school.  Dave/Joann were able to attend, which was awesome!

Good work Nyles!

On Saturday we bought some Petunias and planted them.  So excited for our flowers to bloom again!
Nyles and Carter were a big help planting while Hudson took his nap.

After dinner we went and played pickleball as a family, which was fun!  On Sunday we went over to LuDean/Diane's for dinner.  Dave/Joann also came.  It was nice to visit.  Hudson having a great time!
