I love Spring! The weather has been all over the place, from 80 degrees to snow, rain, hail and everything in between. That's Spring in Utah for you! I can't believe it, but we have officially been in our house 5 years now! We also adopted Piper a year ago on April 8th. We're so thankful to be in our home and to have Piper with us as well. Here are some other highlights from this past week.
Carter picked some "flowers" aka blossoms from our tree and gave them to Dave to give to Joann. She said she loves them!
We got a new floor puzzle, so I helped the boys put it together.
Silly Piper chasing the reflection from Steve's phone. Pretty Daffodil in bloom in our backyard.
Nyles and Carter putting together puzzles of the United States of America.
Cute baby Hudson trying to get to sleep, then Nyles went in to give him his binky.
Silly Piper loves to lay in the sun in our room in the afternoon while I work.
Dave and Joann took Nyles, Carter and Lynsie to the Hogle Zoo on Friday. They had a blast!
So much fun at the Zoo!
They wanted to sit on all the animals.
And across the rope bridge. They got stuffed animal as well, which they love. Nyles got an eagle and Carter got a snake. Thanks so much for taking them Dave and Joann!
Hudson is learning to use a sippy cup.
We went up to my parent's place in Idaho over the weekend to celebrate a late Easter. We left Piper at K9 to get some more training while she was kenneled there. She's doing so great!
Hudson was so happy to see Grandma and Grandpa again! Yeah for Grandma!
And Grandpa!
He got to sit in the high chair at Grandma's for the first time. Same high chair all the grandkids have used. He's getting better at trying solids. He especially likes to feed himself vs us feeding him. The boys wanted us to bring the hammocks up so they could relax in the trees.
Piper's 2nd day of training and going for a walk at the park.
On Saturday Pauline and Barb and their families came down for the day. Pauline drove up Thursday to Barb's place in Boise and stayed w/ her. Grandma and Dan also came over for lunch in my dad's shop.

It was a beautiful day, then in the afternoon the wind really picked up.
Hudson eating more snacks and playing peek-a-boo w/ Calley.
Time for our Easter Sack hunt! Ryan helping Carter get his sack. Nyles w/ his sack.
The girls w/ their sacks, Abby, Calley and Charlotte.
Trading candy back inside the house. Steve holding baby Hudson. Daron and Kristi and their family all came to visit that evening as well. It was great seeing everyone. We're so glad we could get together again after not being able to last year due to Covid.
We are officially into April now and Spring is getting closer and closer. We had rain earlier in the week, then it turned really warm, even hot! We had to open the windows at night to cool off and turn on the fans. The boys kept asking to get out the swimming pool but we had to tell them not yet. Here are some other highlights from the week.
Carter watching the loader take "trash" to the dump truck.
Watching the loader take the trash to the dump truck. We recorded it so Nyles could watch it later.
Piper came up to be w/ in my "office" aka our bedroom, while I was working. She likes to come up in the afternoon when the sun is shinning through the windows on our side of the house.
Cute baby Hudson: learning to eat crackers, rolling over, touching and eating his toes, and playing w/ his stuffed animal sheep while he's supposed to be sleeping.
Hudson's cute chubby legs and more beautiful flowers in bloom!
Cute baby Hudson's smile and eating his toes.
Nyles wanted to join "Race Cats" after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They split Nyles' group in 3 sections, and took turns running, throwing a javelin, and doing the standing long jump. While Nyles did his practice, Carter played on the playground and I pushed Hudson in the stroller as he slept.
When we got home, the boys were really hot from running around, and it was 70 degrees.
So we got some water balloons out to play with on the trampoline.
Friday, after I got off work, we took the boat out on the water for the 1st time. We went for a little boat ride as a family down at Utah Lake, at the American Fork Harbor. The weather was warm, so the breeze on the boat felt great. The boys really enjoyed it. It was also Hudson's first time w/ a life jacket on and he didn't complain or fuss once! He was a trooper.
Cute Hudson playing in is crib before and after his naps.
I love the beautiful Daffodils and Crocus in bloom in our front yard.
Saturday afternoon Steve went back out on the boat w/ the boys, Dave and Rob. The engine was acting up on Friday when we took it out, so our neighbor helped Steve put in a fuel pump. That did the trick and the engine ran great w/out stopping this time. They had a great time!
The boys took a turn driving the boat as well.
Having fun!
And of course they had some snacks while enjoying the ride.
When they got back they took a ride in the wagon.
Oh we love our cute boys!
Hudson saying hi to Grandpa Dave and trying on his hat.
Sunday morning we had the boys do a scavenger hunt around the house to find their Easter chocolates.
The boys w/ their Easter chocolate since we love them and Jesus loves us. Hudson w/ his cute chubby thighs. I couldn't resist putting him in a Summer outfit before he can't fit into it anymore.
Nyles built the resurrection tomb out of Legos w/ Jesus and Mary. Pretty creative.
Nyles taking a turn feeding Hudson some applesauce.
I can't get enough of his cuteness and chubbiness.
After General Conference we went over to LuDean's for dinner. Aunt Diane had a fun game to play. Thanks so much Diane! And thanks for the yummy dinner everyone ;)
I'm so excited our trees are starting to bloom out front! The little flowers are so cute!
Our neighbor Brad Hamilton gave us some of his raspberry starts, so Steve planted them. The boys are excited to have our own raspberry plants.
General Conference was wonderful! I can't believe President Nelson announced 20 new temples!
