4th Week of March 2021

We had a fun, eventful week.  Here are some highlights.  We received a lot of rain the week of March 22nd.  The boys thought it was a lot of fun to get the water out of the boat.  They recently got new rain boots as well so that made it extra fun.

I took Tuesday off work so Steve could study more.  While he was studying, I worked on filling up our water storage jugs.  It was a lot of work, but I'm glad I got it done.

Carter swinging all by himself while waiting for Nyles to come out from school.

Steve built a stand for his tail kit so it's more secure while driving.

Nyles giving Carter a ride through the kitchen.

The stores have been out of ammo for a long time but Steve finally found some at Scheels.

Cute Hudson.  Baby Shark!

Carter wanted to try on my headset for work.  Another time he came up to show me his fox.

Cute Hudson chewing on a rubber duck, w/ his binky twisted around, and eating his sheep :)

Hudson chewing on his giraffe, holding his dog, and cuddling w/ his sheep during a nap.

More water to get out of the boat after another rain storm.

On Saturday we had Steve's family over for lunch, then had an Easter Egg Hunt.  The last time we were all together was in September for Hudson's baby shower.  We were able to eat outside on the patio then we hid the Easter eggs around the backyard for the kids to find.  It was great to be together and be together again.  The kids really enjoyed one another and got along pretty well.

The kids playing on the trampoline.  London Claire holding Hudson.  And our pretty daffodils in bloom.

The kids wanted to get in the boat of course.  Stacie holding Hudson.  Each kid had a golden egg to find in addition to their 12 colored eggs.  Each kid finds one color so there is no confusion on who gets which eggs, plus we can hide the eggs harder for the older kids and easier for the younger ones.

Phill just relaxing on the boat.

The kids in the boat just playing.  Noah came a little late so he was getting his lunch.

Let the egg hunt begin.

Conor working on finding his eggs.  Nyles and Carter eating their lunch earlier.  And LuDean trying to stay warm.  It was almost 60 degrees, and it felt great in the sun, but there was a little wind at times.

Nyles trying to find his eggs scattered around the yard, Hudson getting sleepy as Stacie holds him, and Carter found his golden egg.

Nyles had a hard time finding his last orange egg because I put it in the bowl of clementines.

Watch the video of Nyles trying to find his last orange egg hidden w/ the clementines.

Olivia going down the basketball pole like a fire pole, Joann up on the wall, and more egg hunting.

Dave and Noah juggling the clemintines, Hudson ready for a nap, Stacie/Melanie/Carrie by the boat, and more egg hunting.

The view from up in the house after the hunt.  I went in to put Hudson down for a nap.

LuDean trying to still stay warm, putting their hands on the boat to feel the warmth, Conor and London Claire finding their eggs.

More egg hunting around the yard.  We had a great time.  Thanks everyone for the fun!

Later that evening we worked to get our vanity out and to the curb for the curbside pickup on Monday.
Nyles and Carter wanted to help get some of the screws out.

Nyles tickling Hudson and Hudson grabbing his toes.  His cute chubby legs.

Cute Carter getting tickled by Nyles.

On Sunday we dyed some eggs in preparation for Easter coming up.
Hudson just chewed on the Easter bunny.

Pauline and her family came over for dinner, then we had another Easter egg hunt around the yard.

Fun finding Easter eggs.  They each had 10 eggs to find.  Lincoln got lots of licks from Piper.

Carter trying on some robin egg color on his lips.  More beautiful Daffodils and Crocus in bloom.
And the kids wanted to get in the boat to play for a minute.  Nyles and Ezra playing on the trampoline.

I love this time of year when the trees, grass and flowers come back to life, the weather starts to warm up and sun stays around longer.  I love all the flowers coming into bloom in our yard.  Yeah for Spring!

3rd Week of March

We had a fun 3rd week of March.  Here are some highlights.

We had a surprise birthday party for Joann on her birthday Monday night, March 15th at LuDean's house.  We all hid inside and then started singing "Happy Birthday" as she walked in the room.

Singing Happy Birthday.  She was definitely surprised!

We had dinner, then played a fun game Aunt Diane organized, and then she blew out the candles w/ a paper of course.

Carter's been working on riding his bike w/out his training wheels.  He's doing so great!
We went outside during my lunch break so he could practice.

Carter riding his bike like a champ.

On another day we ran over to Costco during my lunch break w/ Carter and Hudson while Nyles was at school.  It was nice to get out of the house and away from work for a little while.  Cute baby Hudson doesn't mind that his binky is upside down.

The kids got to wear different colors last week at school.  Here's Nyles wearing orange one day.

Here is Piper.  She's pretty much taken over Carter's bed during the day now.

Cute Carter snuggling w/ Piper.

Carter and Hudson relaxing w/ Piper.

The boys got new rain boots.  Later that day we saw a rainbow!

And then Nyles lost a tooth at school.  It was one w/ a crown on it, so they went to the dentist the next day and got a spacer put in place so his teeth don't push closer before the new tooth grows back in.

Cute Hudson w/ a bowl Steve put on his head.  Our first daffodil bloomed!

Nyles worked hard on his rock collection.

We had fun as a family helping him find rocks to include.

Nyles at school w/ his rock collection and pet rock.  Hudson working on sitting up.

Nyles got a jump rope from Aunt Diane's game earlier this week.  He's been working on getting it.

Nyles papers from his rock collection and his 100th day of school.

Carter at pre-school on St. Patrick's Day.

On another day at pre-school, Carter learned about Dr. Seuss.

On Friday after work, we headed up to Heber to pick up our new boat.  Steve ordered it back in September and it finally arrived.  Steve was only a little excited!  The boys were pretty excited too!

The boys can't wait to take it out fishing.  We're waiting for better weather and once Steve is done w/ his test coming up next week on April 1st.

Cute baby Hudson turned 7 months old on Saturday.  He is working on sitting up.  He's eating solids, though he doesn't love them.  He's sleeping pretty good at night, waking up usually just once during the night to feed.  I'm still able to nurse him during the day as well, which is a win/win for us all.  I don't have to pump and Steve doesn't have to warm up a bottle.  He still doesn't have any teeth yet, which I'm absolutely ok with.  He is easy going and has such a cute laugh.  He is so sweet and patient with us all, he's happy, and just so lovable. We are so thankful to have him in our family:)

And it snowed a little Saturday morning.  The boat got covered as well.

Pauline dropped off some clothes for Hudson and a couple other things.
He put up these lights she gave us on his bed.

Saturday afternoon Steve and I were able to get our 1st dose of the Moderna vaccine.  It was a miracle I was able to schedule mine just a couple days before and get it on a Saturday so I didn't have to work around my work schedule.  Then I called the health department Saturday morning right before we were heading out, and tried to get Steve's switched to the same place as mine so we could get it together (at the Maverick Center), but they said there were no openings.  I had the thought (the Spirit prompted me), to log into their website and check myself.  Miraculously there was one spot open at 2:45pm (mine was at 2pm), so I rescheduled his other appointment to be the same day as mine instead of on the 29th.   It was pouring rain the whole time, but we were able to stay in our cars.  They checked us in at one spot, then we drove up and we each got a shot while staying in our car.  It was perfect since we were able to get the vaccine at the same time while have the kids w/ us.  It was definitely a miracle!  We're thankful to be on our way to getting fully vaccinated.

Sunday we learned about the Armor of God and the boys put it on though they were a little silly during the lesson.  Cute baby Hudson is as happy as can be.

The boys think it's so fun to play on the boat.  They love having Piper up there w/ them too.

Cute baby Hudson looking at the camera letting us know he's awake.  He loves his toes still.

Carter went back to the bunk bed w/ Nyles for a night, and Piper found him right away.
She definitely loves Carter.

Great quote from President Hinckley.
