4th Week of July- 19th Week of Quarantine

Here are some highlights from last week.

Beautiful Day Lillies on the front porch.

 Peaches are making progress.

And the pears.

Rose of Sheron blooming now.

A bee inside the flower.

Day Lillies again.

Steve reading a story to the boys.  This book is the same one I had growing up.

More beautiful Rose of Sharon.

It rained!  It felt so nice to have it cool off for a while.

Our pumpkin plant we got from my dad survived and is now growing well.

The watermelon starter we got from IFA is also taking off.

We were sick of all the outside toys laying around, so we finally got a storage bin for all of them.

Steve borrowed a neighbor's trailer (Scott Ellis) to take all the bricks/debris from our previous fireplace.  Scott was also kind enough to let us use Sandy City's dump (he works for Sandy City Water), which was super close.  So instead of having to run 4-5 runs out to Magna, plus the time getting there (1 hour there and back), plus $16 per trip, we were able to get it all done in much less time and money!  While at the dump, Scott also took them inside the water treatment facility.  The boys thought it was super awesome!

Nyles checking out the excavator.

Carter's turn.

Nyles and Carter checking out Sandy City's float.
They didn't use it this year since the parade didn't happen due to Covid.

Friday afternoon/evening, I started not feeling too well.  I didn't sleep well Thursday night so that might have had something to do w/ it.  Plus it's been sooo hot, which probably hasn't helped either.  We had planned to go to LuDean's to celebrate the 24th that evening, but since I didn't feel well I decided to stay home and rest.  Steve still took the boys though.

Nyles, Carter and Steve playing bingo w/ Aunt Diane.  Thanks for the fun Diane!

Then firework time!

Nyles helped Steve light the fireworks.

Glow sticks.

Saturday morning I was feeling better, so we hurried and packed and headed up to the cabin to go fishing for the day.  We met Dave and Joann up there, loaded up the boat, charged the boat batteries, then got on the water.

Cute boys waiting for the fish to bite.

Caught one!

Carter snuggling w/ Steve for a minute.

Going back in to shore since Carter was done.  Joann came to pick up Carter and I and they went back out to fish some more.  We had just gotten back to the cabin when Steve called saying the boat batteries had died again.  They weren't far from the dock thankfully, so someone pulled them in.

Back at the cabin, the boys wanted a snack of Nutella and graham crackers.

Carter playing w/ a bulldozer in the gravel.

Piper and I played fetch w/ a stick.

Steve shooting BB guns w/ the boys.

Nyles showing us his target he shot w/ the BB gun.

Dave and Joann left to go back home after dinner.  We were going to stay through Sunday morning, but while the boys were in the bath, I felt we should head back down.  The boys were a little sad/upset they couldn't sleep at the cabin of course.  We packed up and were home around 9:30pm.

Sunday afternoon I started not feeling well again.  I was feeling nauseous and of course super uncomfortable and sore.  With Steve's encouragement I decided to lay down.  I've been really uncomfortable sleeping lately so I was a little hesitant to try laying down.  But thankfully I fell asleep for a few hours, which felt great.  I'm glad we were home so I could some meds and sleep in my own bed.  While I was sleeping, Steve kept the boys busy.

They decided to play in the mud!  They dug a hole and filled it w/ water.

So much fun!

Piper had to see what all the fun was too.

Steve put up the canopy to give them shade on such a hot day.

Carter loving the mud!

Then they went on the trampoline and Steve sprayed them off.
They thought it was lots of fun!

Piper loved chasing the hose as well for course.

Cute Piper later looking at us in the kitchen.
She knows we have carrots up there.  She loves carrots :)

That evening we went over to Dave/Joann's for a little bit.  Dave helped Steve give me a blessing for health.  Joann also got one for help w/ the healing of her foot.  She had surgery on her foot the week before for her plantar fasciitis.

Great quote.

3rd Week of July- 18th Week of Quarantine

Here are some highlights from last week.

Cute Carter fell asleep one night before dinner.

The pumpkin or squash plant my dad gave us is growing.

And the watermelon plant is REALLY growing!

Steve bought Piper a new toy.  A duck bumper.

Needless to say, she LOVES it!

Piper bringing the duck back.

On Friday morning, Steve went up to the Unitas again to Trial Lake w/ the boys.

Rob went w/ him again.  After they got up there they found a camp spot, set up, then went to Trial Lake to go fishing.

Carter hanging out w/ Rob in the hammock.

Nyles playing in the hammock.

Nyles waiting for a fish, then reeling one in.

Good work Nyles!

Dave and Joann came up that afternoon for a drive.  Carter decided to head home w/ them.  He fell asleep on the way home of course, w/ a sucker in his mouth.  Silly boy :)  Carter said he wanted to come home to sleep w/ me in our bed, which he did of course.

Phill and Conor met up w/ them around 4pm.
Rob and Nyles eating a S'more w/ some really big marshmallows.

Rob, Nyles, Conor and Phil around the campfire.

When Steve and Nyles got home, they went over to help Dave w/ some trees and bushes in LuDean's yard.  Nyles, Carter and Conor made some sand creations w/ Aunt Diane while Steve and Phill worked outside.

Sunday afternoon we went up to Silver Lake to enjoy some cooler temps and enjoy the beauty.

Beautiful flowers along the path.

Carter fell asleep on the way up the canyon, so he hitched a ride on Steve's shoulders.

Beautiful view!

Cheese!

Cute boys like to climb up on the rocks.

Carter, me (34 weeks) and Nyles.  The boys are getting so big, including the one inside me!

Then we set up the hammocks for a little while.

Carter eating a granola bar while hanging out.

Cute boys.

When we got back, we had dinner then made some marshmallow caramel popcorn and played a game of Dori Dominoes.  Carter enjoying his caramel popcorn.

Great insight.
