2nd week of January 2020

Monday, January 6th Nyles went back to school and I went back to work.  Steve had another week off so he planned to go up to my parent's house to hunt geese/ducks.  I took work off Thursday and Friday so Steve could leave Wednesday afternoon.  That Monday he had a procedure to check his esophagus.  Dave took him while Joann watched Carter.  They thought he had acid reflex, thankfully he doesn't.

Steve ready for his procedure.

Nyles at basketball practice.

Carter wanted to wear his Paw Patrol sandals (Pauline gave us from Ezra) and asked Steve to wear his sandals too.  With socks of course :)

Carter and Clay Evans (neighbor) playing w/ shovels and dirt.

The boys playing floor hockey w/ the YM since I had a Stake Training Meeting at the same time and place.  As soon as my meeting was over I hurried and took them home since it was past bedtime.

Steve left Wednesday w/ his dad, Rob and Zach to my parent's place to shoot geese/ducks.  They went out early Thursday morning.  They got pigeons the first day.  Zach holding them up!

Setting up their decoys.

Steve, Rob, Zach and Mark Gasper.  Dave didn't go out after the first day (too cold).

After preschool, Carter and I went to the Aquarium.  Carter wanted to go to the 4-D movie theater to see their 2 new short movies (15 minutes long).

A worker training a Binturongs at the Aquarium.

And as we were coming out it started to hail on us.

Luckily we made it to the car :)

We got a gingerbread shaped cookie mix on Christmas clearance.
We decorated the cookies w/ frosting and sprinkles.

The next day luckily the guys got some geese.

They were just a little excited to get them!

Happy guys!

Pretty sunset.

Dave watching as Rob plucks the geese.

Cleaning off the meat.

Friday morning we got a little snow.

Looking for more birds.

Friday morning Carter and I went to the Library and they had a puppet show on.
They did the Lion and the Mouse.  It was cute.

Carter wanted to take Nyles to see the movies at the Aquarium, so we went Friday after Nyles got out of school (early release day).

The boys brought all their own meals and shared w/ my dad.  Having lasagna and bread.

Nyles made a tower w/ the blocks.

One last time hunting along the river Saturday morning.
They left shortly after and got home by dinnertime that night.
They had a good trip, but we were all so happy to have them safe at home again :)

First few days of January 2020!

The boys and I had the rest of the week of the New Year off, so we continued to celebrate.  Here are some highlights.

The boys just cuddling up to watch a movie.

On New Year's Day we had the Thomas' over for lunch, then we went to the Aquarium.

Calvin, Piper, Nyles and Tessa looking at the fish.

Playing on the whales.

Carter being silly.

The boys taking over the controls.

Piper and Carter checking out the cute penguins.

Walking across the rope bridge.

Sitting on the frog.  Thanks for the fun!

Hanging out at home before bedtime.
Carter loves to wear his super hero masks; cute boy :)

On January 2nd, Steve and I celebrated our 11th anniversary.  We went to the Jordan River Temple, where we were married, to do a session together.  Afterwards we went to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch.  It was wonderful to be together!

11 wonderful years behind us, eternity ahead of us!  Love you forever Steve! :)

Dave and Joann were kind enough to watch the boys for us.
They decided to take them to a train expo.

Stacie, Conor, and London met up w/ them as well.

Carter checking out a train.

Stacie, Dave, Nyles and Conor checking out the guns.

On Friday we went up to help Carrie install her new "Ring" doorbell.  We sure love ours.
The boys fell asleep on the way of course :)

We got it installed and it works!

On Saturday we had our Primary breakfast at the church where the boys got to meet their new primary teachers.  Carter is 3 years old so he's starting Sunbeams now!  After the breakfast, we took the boys to Home Depot to make a project.  Steve helping them paint their mini hockey rinks.

On Sunday the boys wanted to make a fire so Steve made one for them.

Don't tell them it's in the middle of the winter...

We had a fun 2 weeks together over Christmas Break.  As they say, all good things must come to an end.  Back to school and work unfortunately, but we'll cherish the memories we made together.

Last couple days of December

The last couple days of the year we celebrated.  On Sunday the 29th we had Pauline and Rose's families over for dinner, then we played games.

Playing a white elephant exchange game.

Charlotte drawing w/ her nose.

Now Steve taking a turn.

Then Charades.
We also played the new game from Aunt Diane called "Blank Slate."  It was a lot of fun!

Sophia and Charlotte on the trampoline, while Ezra, Nyles and Carter play on the playground.

Ezra ended up staying the night over.  The boys built a fort.

It snowed that night, so the next morning the boys went out to play in it.

Then they played w/ shovels on the ice.

Carter wanted to mix together the cookie mix he got from our white elephant exchange.

Nyles lost another tooth!

We went to see Frozen 2 on New Year's Eve w/ Dave, Joann, LuDean and Diane.
Thanks for going w/ us everyone; we had a great time!

The boys playing on the railing.

Carter and Nyles both REALLY liked it.
I thought it was good too, though Steve thought there was a little too much singing. ;)

That night we went over to LuDean's house for a New Year's Eve Party.  Jeff's family and Carrie's family showed up too.  We had lasagna for dinner, then played games.

Carrie getting ready.

We had a lot of fun games (thanks Aunt Diane), then we did a balloon drop for the kids (thanks Carrie).  Steve and Jeff holding it up while Carrie rips it open.

Here comes the balloons!

Then the kids did some confetti poppers.

Thanks for the fun everyone!

Happy New Year 2020!!!!!
