1st Week of November

Here are some highlights from the 1st week in November.

Steve went and helped Phill put in 4 can lights over their table.

They work!

Lights off ie like it was before putting in the can lights.

With the can lights on.  Let there be light!

Carter hung out w/ Stacie and her friend Lindsey and her girls.  They got ice cream :)

They also played in the leaves!

Nyles made a spider out of his play-dough.  So cute and creative! :)

Steve made some more camouflage for his boat.

On Saturday, the boys and I met Stacie/Phill and Carrie/Ryan and their kids at Lakeshore Learning in Murray to make fairy wings or dragon wings.  The kids had a blast making them.

Nyles, Carter, Lynsie and London making their wings.  Conor made some too.

Carter w/ his dragon wings.

Now playing w/ magnets.

Nyles w/ his dragon wings.

The boys playing w/ some toys in the store before leaving.

We then went over to Wheeler Farm.  Carter in a tree.

The kids playing on more tree structures.

Carter in the outhouse :)

Now on the cow train.

Conor, Nyles and Carter pretending to ride on the train.

Now on the tractor.

Then playing by the stream.

Lynsie, Carter and Nyles looking at the pigs.

Climbing on an old tree.

Running back.  It was such a beautiful day, none of us wanted to leave, other than we hadn't had lunch so we finally did.

Stacie and Carrie trying on the fairy wings.

Stacie and Carrie w/ the pretty wings their daughters made.

Silly boys in the outhouse.

While we were out, Steve went duck hunting w/ Rob at Utah Lake.

Rob driving his boat.  Pretty scenery.

We painted the rock wall boards before leaving.  So when I got back I put the rock wall handles on the board and put it up to the playhouse.

The kids had fun going up and down the playhouse.

It's coming together now!

Sunday after church Steve took the boys over to Wheadon Farm while I made some cookies for some neighbors and families Steve home teaches (ministers).  After he got home, he went and delivered them.

Great insight.

5th Week of October - Halloween

Here are some highlights from this past week.

Nyles w/ his basketball he earned reading.  He did a 5 week after school program learning to play basketball.  He said he really liked it, better than soccer!

He's been practicing on the back patio as well.
He's going to play Jr Jazz basketball next month as well.

Tuesday it snowed, even more than it did on Sunday.

I worked from home that day.  It came down pretty good at times.

Then it cleared up later that afternoon.

Thursday the kids had Halloween celebrations at school  Steve and Dave went to watch Nyles first.  He was dressed up as a Dr for Halloween.

Dave and Steve enjoying the parade of cute kids in their costumes.

Then they went over to see Carter at preschool.  They sang a Halloween song.
There is Carter as a green dinosaur.

Cute Carter as a dinosaur.

After preschool he was tuckered out and took a nap on the couch.

As soon as I got home from work (just before 6pm) we went out and went trick-or-treating around the neighborhood.  Nyles said he was fine w/out a coat, but shortly after leaving he was asking for it.  It was COLD!  They said it ended up being the coldest Halloween EVER recorded!  As soon as the sun went down it was even colder.  Carter wasn't feeling the best (stuffy nose) so we only went around the block then I took him home.  Nyles bundled up a little more then Steve and him went out for another hour.  They got plenty of candy to say the least.

Trick-or-treat!

Family pic from my work party last week.

Saturday morning (at 3am), Steve and Nyles left to go deer hunting up at Paul Firth's place near the Idaho border (3 hours away).  They met at Dave's place and got Ethan and Noah Lake as well who wanted to come.  They got up there just as the sun was rising.

Nyles, Noah, and Ethan trying to find the deer.

They ended up only seeing 15 deer in total (3 of which were bucks).  They usually see 50-100 so it was a little strange not to see many.  They didn't get any by 2pm, so they decided to come home.  The hunt goes until the end of the year so they'll likely go back.

Cute Nyles and Ethan waiting for the deer.

Ethan, Noah and Nyles tuckered out on the way home.

Luckily Ethan was kind enough to let Nyles fall asleep on his shoulder for a while.

Cows on their way home.

Dave out of the count :)

While they were out, I took Carter to Home Depot for the kid's workshop.  Carter painting his eagle.

We took it home to dry, then put the stickers on and screwed on the wings.  All done!

After some errands and cleaning up inside, we went outside and racked up leaves.

Carter thought it was fun to jump in the leaves and throw them.

Today, Sunday, we all stayed home from church.  Nyles woke up w/ a sore throat and Carter still had a booger nose, so we didn't want to take them to church.  Steve took Nyles into the Dr to see if he had strep throat (since Joann tested positive for it) but he didn't.  They're sending his culture off to let it grow more just in case it is strep in the next day, so in the meantime we want to be cautious.  Steve went and took a nap this afternoon, and towards the end of his nap Carter came up and laid down too.

Cute Carter asleep on our bed.  Funny duck hunting joke.

We had our family dinner tonight.  It was also the honoree dinner.  This year it was London's turn.
Since the boys were sick I stayed home w/ them and Steve went up to represent us.

Steve took a picture of the group.

Alexa, Olivia and London looking at the cake mix I gave her w/ a few recipes to make cookies w/ it.  When we watched London and Conor one time, her, Carter and I made Nutella No Bake Cookies.  She enjoys baking so I wanted to give her a few easy recipes to try.

It's November now and Daylight Savings.  Hope you all enjoyed the extra hour we got. :)
