3rd Week of June

Here are some highlights from the 3rd week of June.

The week before Nyles went to a birthday party for Ryder Adamson (middle of picture in black).  They lived in the circle w/ us but moved last year.  Nyles and Ryder still play every so often.

Carter being silly.

The boys practicing their shot in the backyard w/ an air soft gun.

On our way over to Dave/Joann's for a father's day dinner, Carter fell asleep.

He was pretty out of it even though it was only a few minutes.

We stopped by Little Cottonwood Canyon on our way to see how fast the river was running.

We've had a lot of rainfall this Spring so the rivers and lakes are full and running fast!

Family picture.

The river is flowing fast and is expanding anywhere it can.
We got up on a rock to get a better view.

 Say cheese!

Beautiful scenery.
This is the area the saints went to get granite for the Salt Lake Temple.

 Silly boys!

Nyles finished up his 2nd week of swim lessons.

They got to go off the diving board again.

Nyles loves the diving board.

Steve had to go in on Wednesday for more practice w/ this sonography group, so Stacie kindly offered to watch the boys for us.  Thank you!
Laying on the lawn behind a net.

Playing a word game w/ grandma.

Now playing w/ Moon-sand.

Carter made an ice cream cone out of his.  They went from there straight over to Nyles swim lessons.  Let's just say Carter was a little tired and slept during Nyles' lesson.

Nyles playing in the splash pad area before his lesson started.

Off the higher diving board this time!

One more time off the high diving board, and a pretty unique Iris we had in the backyard.

We went up to the cabin that weekend, so I'll post that next.

2nd Week of June, Cousin Fun

The kids had a fun 2nd week of June, their official start of Summer.  Here are some highlights.

Pretty Dianthus in bloom.

Nyles took swim lessons that week.

Nyles LOVES swim lessons and is always first to volunteer.

Backstroke.

Cute Carter listening on the Ipad outside on our picnic table.  We are enjoying our benches/picnic table.  We like to have dinner out there most nights and enjoy the summer air.

 More pretty Dianthus blooming.

We decided to take the kids to the Kids Summer Movie Pass at Megaplex Theaters.  Every Wednesday they go to the theater and watch a kid's movie.  The kids are loving it!

Carter eating some popcorn at the movie.

That afternoon, Steve and Stacie took the kids over to Draper Park to play.  They decided to run through the creek.  It cooled them off pretty quick!

London carrying Carter across the creek.

Bubbles and music at the park.

Swings.

They then came back to our house and made homemade ice cream.

The next day they went and played at Dave/Joann's house in the sandbox and w/ their hamster.

Playing on the lawn.

Watching the hamster.

Popsicle time.

Filling up the swimming pool.

Cute Carter.

Pretty Iris and Dianthus.

I love all the pretty colors!

 So pretty.

Our pears are coming in, yeah!  Carter filled out his whole "Potty training chart."  He's done such an awesome job!  After the first week he hasn't had any accidents, not even at night!  We're so happy to get diapers out of the house again!  We're so proud of him. :)

Steve helped Dave take the tracks off the ATVs.  Nyles and Carter wanted to help as well.

Friday night Steve went w/ the YM down to the Manti Pageant.
This was the last year they were running the pageant so they decided to go down.

Steve and Rich Mitchell at the pageant.

All of Nyles beautiful art projects he's done throughout the year, mostly at school.  We like to hang them up in the garage so we can admire them every time we come in and out of the house.  We decided to keep them up the whole year as well to enjoy them them longer.

Carter decided to randomly lick the sliding glass door; silly kid!

Cute boys coloring!
