March Fun

Here are some other highlights from the past couple weeks.

Carter went to the park w/ Pauline.  It was a great help so Steve could talk w/ the construction crew working on our retaining wall.  Thanks Pauline!

We made it to the Draper Temple!  Thanks Joann for watching last minute. :)
Carter being "super" w/ his mask.

Carter being a big helper.  Though Carter refused to take naps in his crib now, we many times find him asleep in different spots.  This time in went up to his room and fell asleep on his rocker.

The boys eating their carrot straws at dinner.

Nyles made a marshmallow/toothpick structure in school.

Nyles made a few props and posed as the statue of liberty.  He learned about it in school and wanted to share what he learned with us.  He's quite creative.

And it snowed again!

Our poor little flowers just can't get a break.  Luckily it didn't stay long.

I had a gift certificate to Coldstone, so we went and got ice cream on Saturday.

The boys love jumping on the trampoline and hitting each other w/ noodles.  Silly boys! :)

While our retaining wall was getting worked on and Steve was studying, I took the boys over to the park and library.  Nyles LOVES the swings now that he can pedal on his own.

Nyles and Carter put on a puppet show for me at the library.

Nyles likes to find friends to play with at the park.  Here they are discovering dinosaurs.

Carter playing on the "train."

Carter loves the slides.  We moved our Daffodils from behind our retaining wall to our front porch.  They're beautiful and definitely remind me of Spring!

Carter helping Steve get some supplies at Home Depot for the yard.

Stacie had Nyles and Carter over one afternoon while on the kids were on Spring Break this week.  Carter loves being w/ his cousin London.

We went over and played games w/ Pauline and Chris while the kids played together.
Here is Nyles w/ his Statue of Liberty again.

Carter enjoying a churro at Costco and sporting his "super" mask again.

Nyles found a worm as we were replanting flowers.

The boys enjoying the sand on our patio.

We hired someone to redo our retaining wall.  It's taken a little longer than expected due to the weather (snow and rain).  They're scheduled to come tomorrow and finish pouring the steps and t-backs, then put all the sand/dirt back behind the wall, the shed back and fence back up.  Fingers crossed all goes according to plan.  I'll post once it's done.

Outdoor Adventures

After daylight savings we've enjoyed the longer daylight hours.  It's been wonderful to spend some time outside with one another and see the beauty around us.  After church last week, we decided to go to a nearby park and take a walk by the hillside.

Carter going down the slide.  Nyles and Carter hiking across the bridge.

Beautiful view.

Carter hitching a ride from Steve, then back at it.

Carter and Nyles going through the rock tunnel.

Steve and I by the rock tunnel.

Much to our surprise we came to the suspension bridge from the other side of the hill.  It was definitely a longer walk than we had anticipated, but the boys did great and we had a great time w/ one another enjoying the beautiful scenery.

Carter, Nyles at I at the suspension bridge.

Carter and Steve crossing the bridge.  It gets a little wobbly when the wind blows.

Our cute boys!

When we got home the boys wanted to go play out in our "sandbox" before it got dark. We are just about done w/ our new retaining wall.  In the meantime we have dirt and sand all over our patio, which the boys LOVE!

Steve made tunnels for them as well to drive their trucks in.

This Wednesday we decided to go over to the Draper Pond to try fishing.  The sun was shining and we heard they had just stocked the pond.  Steve invited Stacie/Phill to come w/ us as well.

Carter and London waiting for a fish to bite.

Nyles and Conor also waiting for fish to bite.

Carter blowing bubbles at the ducks.

Steve, Phill, Conor and Nyles trying another spot.

Carter trying to fish as well.

We only got one bite, but it was still nice to get out and enjoy the sunshine for a while.

We love the daylight hours, the warmth of the sun, and the flowers which are starting to bloom!
