First Half of March

Here are some highlights from the first half of March.

Carter and Bode driving the Jeep.

Beautiful rainbow!

And then it snowed again.

My cute boys (Carter wearing Steve's shoe).  Then we went to see the ducks.

The boys wanted to try fishing while we were there.  No luck though.

We had fun seeing the ducks though.

Cute ducks.  Steve made hockey sticks out of pvc pipes, pool noodles, and duck tape for the young men to use so they can play broom hockey.  The boys broke the hockey sticks last time, so he decided to make them out of more durable materials this time.

Last Sunday Nyles was sick.  Steve took him to the InstaCare and it was confirmed he had Strep Throat.  Carter came along for the ride and Popsicle since I was at a Primary meeting.

Carter being a big helper for Steve.  He had to re-tighten the garbage disposal.

Nyles taking Carter for a ride.

Our cute boys just loving life!

The young men using the pvc pipe hockey sticks Steve made.
They worked great! Steve is so creative!

Tuesday night Carter woke up several times, not feeling well, and w/ a fever.  We figured he had Strep throat like Nyles, so I stayed home from work w/ him.  We took him into the Dr to check though, and he tested negative for Strep and also negative for the flu.  It was once of the other "bugs" out there.  It was a SNOWY day so we couldn't go for a drive to help Carter sleep, but luckily he later snuggled up w/ a blanket and took a nap.  I let him sleep for an hour.

Cute Carter sleeping though not feeling well.

Crazy snow day again!!!   We got another 6 inches.

And he fell asleep again in the car w/ Steve picking Nyles up from school.

The boys and neighbor kids enjoying the sunshine while throwing snowballs.

Our neighbor Karolen gave us their trampoline since her kids are teenagers now and too big for it.
Nyles was SO EXCITED to finally have a trampoline!

He jumped on it all Saturday afternoon.

And Sunday after church.
We put pool noodles on the springs to help prevent injuries (thanks Pinterest for the idea).

Since the sun was shinning we decided to go to Wheeler Farm for a little while after church as well.  Stacie, Phill, London and Conor met us over there.  It was so nice to actually FEEL the sun again.  It was wonderful!  Stacie and London w/ Carter, and Conor and Nyles playing w/ the bubble guns.

London spinning Carter.

Carter eating a snack in the wagon.

Carter and Steve looking at the ducks.

Cute boys!

Petting the horse.

Playing by the river.

Pretending to drive the tractor.

Silly donkey eating the fence.  London and Nyles sitting on the 2 holer outhouse.

Carter getting tired.

Asleep on the couch later on.

So cute!

Later playing on the trampoline again.

We're getting rain again today, but hopefully soon we'll see the sun again.  We're excited for Spring to come and stay a while!  And hopefully no more sickness too!

Last week of February

We had a fun week this past week.  Here are some highlights.

Carter fell asleep at Corri's house while she was watching him.

Nyles and Carter laying on my big bear while watching a show.

Beautiful Draper Temple.  Carter eating some strawberries w/ Life cereal.

Carter's 1st day of pre-preschool.  He gets to go 3 times a month in addition to his speech therapy visits.  He was so excited to go!  Steve said he didn't even look back, even on the first day.  It's the same school Nyles went to for preschool at age 3 (Jordan Valley in Midvale).

Cute boy ready to go!

On Friday the kids didn't have school since we had parent teacher conferences that week.  Steve and Stacie decided to do something together w/ the kids.  Since it was free fare day through UTA, they thought it would be fun for the kids to ride the train to downtown and play up there.

London and Carter going to board the train.

Nyles and Conor helping each other safely cross the train tracks.

London and Carter on the train headed to downtown.  Conor and Nyles behind them.

Conor and Nyles.  They were sooo excited to ride the train!

Getting off the train.  Carter holding Stacie's hand.

They made it to City Creek Mall downtown.  Looking over Main Street.

London holding Carter's hand at City Creek Mall.

Looking at the fish in the creek.

London and Carter playing on the dinosaurs.

Carter, Conor and Nyles.

Stacie helping Carter.  Steve said he loved the dinosaur slide.

He went down it many times!

Afterwards they went and got some lunch at the food court, then headed back home on the train.

Carter eating a snack in the wagon riding on the train.  Then after work I met up w/ them after work.  They wanted to ride the train again since it was free fare day.

We went over to the church history museum by temple square.

Then we went over to City Creek for some dinner at Costa Vida.

Carter and I riding the train back.

The next morning we went over to Home Depot for their kids workshop.  This time it was making wooden clocks.  Nyles getting ready to start his clock project, and Carter painting his clock base.

Now Nyles painting his base.

Carter giving us his silly face while driving the cart.

Nyles and Carter w/ their finished clocks they made, with a little help from us :)

Carter loves popcorn just about as much as I do.  He asks for it quite regularly.  He likes to help me w/ the popper and watch it pop.  Nyles fell off his bike this week and skinned his knee as well.

Nyles and Carter building w/ wood blocks after church.  We got snowed on all day Sunday!

Singing happy birthday to Brandon, Melanie and Joann for March birthdays at our family dinner night on Sunday.

True :)

We hope you all had a great week.  Hopefully we'll start having a few more Spring like days so we can start spending more time outside.  The boys are definitely getting anxious to do so.
