Carter fell asleep on the couch Sunday after church.
We're excited to switch from 1pm to 9am church next year, let alone only 2 hours of church.
After dinner we got loaded up w/ our winter clothes and headed for Draper Park to see the lights.
Carter and I ready to go look at the lights.
It was pretty cold and we didn't have snow yet, but it was still pretty and fun to get out and look at the lights. There's something magical about looking at lights at Christmas time.

Nyles rolling down the hill, Carter watching.
"Tree of life."
More lights.
On Christmas Eve we let the boys open up one gift. They chose to open up their gifts from Daron and Kristi. They had our name this year.
Nyles got a remote control car and Carter got a John Deere ATV.
They sure loved their gifts! Thanks Daron and Kristi!
The last spot Elf of the Shelf hid before heading back up to the North Pole was in one of our plants. Dave stopped by on Christmas Eve also. We watched a short video of "The Nativity" together, then played Christmas Charades. It was a lot of fun!
The next morning, Santa found us!
Thankfully the boys slept in to a normal time on Christmas.
They were super excited when they woke up though!
Carter wasn't quite sure what to think or do, so he watched Nyles for a few minutes.
Nyles got his watch he's been asking for.
Carter got another John Deere dump truck, this one for sand.
Carter also got some crayons and bubbles.
And a Ukulele. Carter loves music.
Nyles opening some Legos and Carter opening his box.
Big brother Nyles to the rescue to help.
Nyles also got an art set!
My turn to open one.
Steve helped the boys make me a blanket w/ their hands sewn on it. They all helped sew it and everything. Steve got the sewing machine out from downstairs and worked on it while I was at work. I absolutely love it! It's so warm too! I'm actually bundled up in it now!
The boys also got cardboard trains to play in and color on.
Nyles got a duck hunting set also :)
We went and got changed, then Dave and Joann came over. Carter looking out our closet window, waiting for Dave/Joann. We also played our new game of Jenga while waiting.

After Dave/Joann got here, we opened up our presents from them.
The boys got more art supplies and books. They love it!
Nyles coloring on his train and Carter playing in his.
Carter loves to get Grandpa and his glasses. That evening we went over to LuDean's house for dinner and for the kids to play w/ cousins. It was a great time, especially to be together as a family. We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!
