Cute Carter and Nyles playing at Grandma McGrath's while Steve mowed their lawn.
Another time they got Popsicle and watched Steve mow.
Just relaxing, enjoying their Popsicle.
Nyles' new backpack for 1st grade. He was so excited to get it, he asked Steve if they could "try it out" during a picnic, so Steve took them to the Aquarium for lunch.
Steve, Carter, and Nyles at the Aquarium's theater.
Nyles trying out his new lunchbox, having a picnic at the Aquarium. As you can see he was soooo excited/happy to be trying out his new lunchbox. Carter climbing.
And down the slide!
Nyles was also so excited to go to the dentist. Look at his big smile! He LOVES going to the dentist; silly kid. He literally is excited to go. It's like Christmas for him. Getting x-rays.
Getting sealants put on his 6 year molars, which came in a little early.
Cute Carter loves to get in our bed.
Many mornings he'll sit there while I get ready for work.
Great quote!
Steve and the boys went up to the cabin on Friday, July 20th to help work on it.
They went over by the dam to look at the damage caused by the fires.
Getting some lunch.
After work I ended up coming up to the cabin w/ Joann last minute Friday night to help stain the deck on Saturday. After breakfast we went out there and got to work.
Nyles getting his roller ready to paint w/ the linseed oil.
Nyles and I rolled the entire deck floor, then went and helped w/ the other details of the railing.
Steve working hard on the railings. Nyles helping Dave near the steps.
Nyles and I working on the front entryway. Steve on the ladder working on the railing.
Still going....
Nyles taking a break, and Carter getting some lunch.
Carter slept for a good 2 hours, so that was helpful while we worked.
We got most of the deck done, which was great. It hadn't been done in a few years so it desperately needed it. We finished just in time for a rain storm to hit. The power went out at the cabin so we packed up and left. It was a short trip but we got a lot done. Nyles did an awesome job and was a BIG help, especially considering how little he is. Great job Nyles! You're never too young to learn how to work.
Carter on the way home.
