Rest of February

Here are some final updates from the last couple weeks of February.

Nyles w/ his Valentine's hearts on his door.
Each heart says something we love about him.  Some on Carter's door too.

Some kisses for Steve and heart brownies for the boys w/ toasted coconut on top.

Salt Lake Temple, going one night after work.

Carter just enjoying his bath.
He loves the water, so he basically takes a bath every night.

Steve and Rob went fishing up at Jordanelle in their little boats.

We went to the Aquarium while Steve was fishing.
Carter going down the slide at the Aquarium, and Nyles putting on a silly face.

Carter helping to mop the floor, and eating at Grandma/Grandpa's house for family dinner.

Steve went w/ Melanie and 3 of her kids one Saturday to the Aquarium.  Carter was taking a nap so I stayed home w/ him.  Nyles, Olivia and Melanie at the Aquarium.

Nyles, Olivia and Noah.

Looking at the Penguins.

Flashback:  Steve and Elder Edwards on his mission, on a ferry coming back from Vancouver Island.
They were companions in the MTC but not companions out in the field, yet Steve said they were always in the same district out in the field.

Steve made wooden shelves for our half bathroom downstairs.

We invited Rose and Pauline's families over for dinner for my birthday.
Singing Happy Birthday.

Nyles, Carter and Ezra all wanted to help blow the candles out.

That night we got dumped on again w/ snow.
Luckily it was President's Day that Monday, so we didn't have to go to work.

Nyles w/ his shovel, "helping" to shovel the snow.

Nyles wanted us to bury him in the snow.  Silly kid.

We got just over a foot again!  Winter came back w/ a vengeance!
I'd say the groundhog was 100% correct this year; 6 more weeks of winter.

The birds were loving our bird feeder w/ all the snow on the ground.

The next day getting on the train, still plenty of snow.
Carter likes these slippers.  He's doing a little dance here w/ them on.

The fish I painted for Nyles.

We picked up some tile at Floor and Decor.  We finally decided we're going to redo the tile that goes from the entry way into the kitchen.  We've also ordered new kitchen cabinets, so we plan to get the tile done before the cabinets are put in.  Needless to say, we've got a little work to do in the next month before the cabinets get here.
Nyles showing off the tile.

Carter enjoying some more Nutella at Grandma's.

Carter loves the Nutella but not so much the mess.  It's yummy though!

Nyles w/ his current picture and a potential picture when he's 100 years old.
They were celebrating 100 days of being in school.

That Saturday we took the boys out sledding.
Steve w/ Carter going down the hill.

And again!  Carter thought it was a lot of fun!

Nyles coming down on his own.

He just had to go down a couple more times on his own.
We all had a lot of fun enjoying the snow!

Carter thought it was fun to sit on the blanket and have Nyles pull him around.
What a silly boy.  He sure loves his older brother.

Steve finally connected the water line to the fridge.  We now have running water in the fridge.  Since we had a couple spots cut out in the floor beneath the kitchen when Steve put in the can lights down there, we figured now was a great time to connect the water line.  Good work honey!

Pretty flowers the boys picked up for me from Costco.
It was Nyles' idea; he's so cute!

Conor and Nyles getting tickled by Grandpa Dave.

And the story of Steve's life.....hahah.

February was a great month!

Birthday Week!

We had a fun week celebrating my birthday on February 10th.  Here are some highlights.

I have been dying to see a movie, since the last one I saw in theater was Moana.  One of the things I wanted to do after completing my CFP test was to go to a movie.  So Tuesday night Steve took me to go see the movie, "The Greatest Showman."  We heard this was a good one, so I begged Steve to go w/ me.  He doesn't like musicals, but since it was MY birthday, he went along for the ride.  And surprisingly he actually liked it!  It's a really great show if you haven't seen it yet.  We put Carter down, then Steve went to Young Men's, then he came home.  Rob was nice enough to come over, put Nyles to bed and sit w/ the boys while we went out.  It's been a while since we went out on an actual date w/out the boys.  It was refreshing!

At the theater, about to go watch "The Greatest Showman" movie.

Then on Thursday we went out to Red Robin for my free birthday burger.
Red Robin, yumm!

Steve also surprised me one night and installed the ceiling fan in our bedroom.

Carter likes to take baths now w/ Nyles, bubble baths :)

On Saturday, my actual birthday, we went to the Aquarium w/ Pauline's family.
Nyles w/ a butterfly.  Charlotte, Pauline, Steve and Chris looking at the Caiman.

Steve put Carter on his shoulders to try to keep him contained.  He doesn't want to sit in his stroller for very long, and tries to run at every chance he gets.  Looking at a beautiful parrot.

Another cool parrot, and Carter looking at the penguins.

Ezra and Nyles playing in the submarine.

Carter looking at the Shark.

Family picture.

After going to the Aquarium Pauline/Chris took us out to eat at Cafe Rio.  We all had a great time.  Thanks for the fun guys and for lunch!  Later that afternoon a neighbor brought over 2 bundt cupcakes, so we used that to sing Happy Birthday.  The boys were pretty excited about the cake, to say the least!

Blowing out the candles.  Carter wearing a super hero mask.

We then went to RC Willey to walk around for fun.
Steve, Nyles and Carter sitting on a dog bench in RC Willey.

And as we got home cute Carter saw the neighbor's cats and just had to pet them.
He LOVES cats!  He loves animals in general.

Ron holding the cat Louis as Carter pets him.

It was a fun birthday week.  Thanks for all the love and support!  Until next year :)
