Rest of April

We had a lot of fun during the month of April.  A couple things I don't have pictures of though.  One was on Monday, April 10th Steve and I went to a dinner put on by Fidelity.  It was in celebration of me working there 10 years (in November), along w/ others who have worked there 15, 20, 15, 30 years.  Can you believe it?  No kids were allowed, so Dave and Joann kindly came over and watched the boys while we went out.  It was up by the University of Utah, at the Natural History Museum.  We had dinner, then got to walk around and look at the Museum and dinosaurs.  It was pretty neat, but Steve unfortunately got a headache at the end, so we had to quickly leave.  It was fun to go on a date w/ Steve though :)

On Saturday, April 29th we had the Minsons and Thomas' over for a BBQ.  The weather was a little cooler than we had hoped though, so we ended up inside.  It was still fun to visit either way.  We were all in the 11th branch, and lived there about the same amount of time, both moving in and out, about 6 years.  They are good friends and fun to get together with.

Here are some other highlights from the month.

Yes we had a LOT of rain during the month of April!

 Nyles wanted to ride the Ferris Wheel at Scheel's, so we went over one night after I got off work.  

We were planning to buy 2 tickets to ride it, but instead the nice lady gave it to us free.  

Nyles is the luckiest kid; he has been able to ride it every time we've gone, for FREE!

I haven't been on a Ferris Wheel in a LONG time.  It was fun except when they stopped us at the top leaning over, then I was a little scared.  I had to be brave for Nyles though :)

Nyles then wanted to go shoot the guns upstairs, so we let him- pretend anyway.

 We decided to have Cafe Rio one night for dinner, and even though we ordered online and were just picking it up, it still was SUPER busy.  Nyles kept himself entertained w/ his coat while waiting.  Ironically we got our whole order FREE after a mix up, so that part was awesome!

I hope everyone was able to listen to General Conference.  As always there were some amazing talks/messages.  I love that we can go back and listen/read them really quick (w/in a week they are available online and on our phones).  I have been able to reread them while riding on the train.  Here are a couple quotes I like.

   

Spring Break 2017

Nyles had a week of no preschool in April, aka Spring Break.  Most of the other schools were on Spring Break also, including his cousins.  So instead of staying home by themselves, they decided to get together and do some fun things.  They had an exciting week full of lot of neat things to see and do.  Here are some highlights.

The first day they went to Wheeler Farm.
