Ok so now an updated on our activities from the reunion.....
Thursday, July 25th we headed up to Idaho, of course in our new Ford Edge. It sure was nice to have LOTS of room for stuff (including his stroller and fishing stuff for Steve), plus I was able to ride in the front just fine and still be able to tend to Nyles' needs. And w/ the GPS system in the car it was a complete LIFESAVER once we got in Boise and were going from place to place, which we were pretty unfamiliar as to how to get from point A to B. The ride was so smooth and quiet and the seat were WAY more comfortable than are other cars; it was awesome! I read the owner's manual part of the way in order to figure out the "bells and whistles" that came w/ it.
We let Nyles take a nap before we left so we actually didn't leave until about noon. Rose was also leaving about this time so we were on the road at the same time. We got to my parent's place at about 5pm and Rose showed up 1/2 hr or so later. Nyles did really well and slept a couple times on the way. After Rose showed up and we got some dinner we went down to Grandma Hegerhorst's place and visited for a while. We then brought Nyles back to my parent's to put him to bed while Rose went to the Dairy w/ her girls.
The next morning we all headed up to Boise to meet up w/ everyone. We met at Eagle Island Stake Park. We ate lunch, had swimming and went down the water slide (some pics from Rose, thanks).

Did I mention it was really HOT HOT HOT!!!
After a few hours Nyles was tired so we headed back to Barbara's house to put him down for a nap. Shortly after Barb came back w/ some of her kids and put Callie and Dallin down also. We showered and got cleaned up. We then went to where we were staying in Star, ID (20 minutes outside of Meridian where Barb was). We got unpacked then headed to Nampa to the Rollerdrome. GPS was perfect! It was a lot of fun skating. It was interesting most of the kids and many of the spouses hadn't ever skated before. Steve and I put Nyles in his stroller and rolled around with him. It was a lot of fun. We also took several of the kids w/ us and helped them skate. After a couple hours we had our fun of skating and headed to Golden Corral for dinner. Again the GPS was amazing!!! We then headed home and got Nyles to bed after a long day of fun.
The next morning we had breakfast then went out to Daron's place in Emmett to ride horses and do water games. Nyles went down for a nap just before so we decided to let him sleep before heading out. Thankfully he did take a really good long nap, but of course that made us late. We picked up some snacks on our way out and made it just in time for lunch. Once again the GPS didn't fail us.

Before we got there they had already rode the horses and played around at Daron's place. Here are some pics from Rose.

After horse and lunch we got the family pic and then played water games, well the kids did while most of the adults stayed inside where it was cool. Nyles luckily went down for nap.....without a sound machine and LOTS of noise in the house and around. He went down in a his carseat/stroller. The stroller was a lifesaver. I'm so glad we brought it and had plenty of room to bring it too.
Group shot, finally all together ;)

Then the water ballons came out......
After the water fight, we loaded everyone up and headed back to Boise area to go bowling. Again the GPS was a lifesaver. Ironically there was a concert going on across the street from the bowling place so it was a little CRAZY getting to the place. We all made it there after a bit except my parents. Due to the traffic and whatnot they decided to go back to Barb's place instead while the rest of us went bowling.

Fun, Fun, Fun!
After bowling we went back to Barb's place for pizza and root beer floats. After a while Nyles was getting cranky and tired so we took him back to the house. We picked up some snacks along the way and a Redbox, "Jack Reacher." By the time we got back to our place and put Nyles to bed, plus got ourselves showered it was getting pretty late. But Steve really wanted to watch the show so we put it on. It was actually really good, though we didn't hear all of it after Anna and my parents came home, oh well. We'll have to rent it again sometime.
The next morning we had breakfast, let Nyles take another nap, then packed up and headed to Barb's place. We visited for a while, packed a sack lunch and then said our good-byes. It was a lot of fun to see everyone and spend some time w/ them. It always goes sooo fast. I am so thankful for my family, especially knowing it can be eternal. Families are Forever!
